WAY OVER-PRICED, at $161 a night plus taxes, Etc. That said, it is a decent room, and you don't have a lot of options in Douglas. Perhaps the price is not normally that high, I don't know. They only had one room available so... supply and demand... and I certainly do not begrudge them that. The odd thing was this was a Thursday night in the third week of September, and I saw no evidence of a convention or special event or Town Festival. So I don't know why they were almost sold out of rooms, but anyway, it's a decent place but the price seemed exorbitant for a Best Western in Douglas.

Best Western Douglas is a great place to stay when working in Agua Prieta Sonora Mexico. Very friendly staff, clean and quiet room, breakfast available in the morning, the room has good lighting, great desk and chair, very nice tub/shower combo with large sink area. a nice short walk to the border and easy pedestrian access and waiting area, if you need to get picked up on the Mexico side.

First time staying in Douglas Az, I’m a trucker driver and had to lay down for 10 hours Best Western I could see it from my yard top notch hotel according to me thought man I’m lucky tonight because us truck drivers got some stories about hotels! Walk in the building nobody at the front desk no problem with me I ring the bell on the counter one time wait a minute or so there’s nobody around so I start talking loud while on the phone hoping somebody will hear me still nobody to be seen so I give the bell a few hits still nobody then I thought maybe the front desk person could be upstairs so I chill out on the seat wait about 15 mins still after 15 mins of waiting I ring the bell for a good 30 seconds still nobody , now I start walking around I see staff door by the elevator knock on it open it peak my head in nobody in there walk away and then out of the heaven blue sky’s a guy walks out the staff door shoes in his hands shirt barely getting put back on so I ask do you work here he storms towards the exit and says yes there’s somebody at the desk so I look and long behold I meet Alexandra the front desk worker and my goodness I could see in her face and the way she was acting she got caught off guard gave Attitude from the start for no reason and before I called her out on the way she was talking I tried to easy the situation up by making small talk didn’t work so I said what’s the issue with you and me I’m just trying to get a room and boy she didn’t like that became more difficult to deal with anyways went back and forth with her about the billing process I’d say we went back and forth from 730 pm to about 845 pm calling my dispatch faxing paper work credit card numbers had to jump threw many hoops to stay here I’ve never had a problem even at a Best Western in different states where my dispatch faxes a paper over I sign it the hotel faxes it to the company headquarters and done. Well Alexandra you made my experience here most difficult ever if you read this you need better people skills as well as to be trained better and as why this guy that she called Lalo as the maintenance work came out the door the way he did and then she pops out right after I’ll never know why it took so long for her to come to the front desk... I’ll be contacting headquarters as well as talking to Maria the front desk manger in the morning about this whole situation. 1 star only because it won’t post. July 24, 2018
