        It literally took me 2 years to get a PCP when COVID hit. She was worth the wait. She's thorough, caring, and listens. She's selective with referrals and diligent with follow-ups. I don't feel like a McDonald's customer (just another number served) when I see her. She's patient with me and I appreciate that greatly. So happy to call her my doctor.

        Dr. Hortareas is terrific, and so is Maria. Routine office visits for regular illnesses are one thing, but I have several severe conditions that require special care. Their referrals to specialists are top notch and they all keep in touch to manage my healthcare. I also recently had a hospital stay at JCL. Just about every Hospitalist who came to check on me knew and loved Dr. Hortareas. He has a great reputation in AZ.
