Dr. Mona Mehta

Unlike most neurologists, she showed me compassion and patience. She did several phone consults for me unlike what the only other review claimed. And she worked with me not wa ting to be medicated. She always was on top of finding ways for me to live with my chiari type 2 and epilepsy and she's done an amazing job of that. Most doctors I've seen, and I've seen a lot, weren't compassionate at all. She offered me where to go to try to helo with other issues as well. Her care didn't stop at my brain. When w elearnes my issues weren't all with my brain, she told me what specialists to go see and who to see. She didn't have to do that. But she did. I never wait more than 10/15 min after getting Into a room to see her as well. I dunno what was up with that first review, but that was toxic and just sad. I have friends who see Dr Mehta and they all had amazing things to say.

While I am forced to give some star rating here, I wish I could give a -10! I have been a patient to this doctor for a couple of years, twice annually. While I have always had the suspicions she is just a quack, yesterdays appointment confirmed it for me! This doctor has zero interest in quality medical treatment. She will sit across the room from you with a laptop and make medical evaluations and then distribute unnecessary, unwarranted prescriptions! Yesterday, I told her it was a total waste of time for me to come in when this couldve been done over the phone. And her response was, I dont make enough money to do phone consultations! So, my response was, youre not really in this to help patients overcome their challenging disabilities, but rather you are about the money? And she answered positively, unequivocally YES! I have bills to pay. I want to be able to go do things. I have to pay my staff. So you see, there wasnt any mention of my medical needs. My PCP got my recent MRI results and told me more about what was in the MRI than what this quack would do! And while I already knew the results myself, I was curious to see if there was anything more profound this Quacky specialist might be able to indicate? But I got a nothing burger! So like you, I am going to go in search of another more qualified, neurologist with an above board bedside manner! The minute I was able to get to my phone, I called yesterday to discharge myself from this unprofessional quack! Not to mention the fact, they had me waiting in the exam room for over an hour beyond my appointment time before she even walked in the door. And this is not the first time she has pulled that. My time is a lot more valuable! #StayAmazing.
