Granada Park United Methodist Nursery School & Kindergarten

Enrolling my son in Granada Park United Methodist Preschool was one of the best decisions I have made. After my son had been attending for about a month I noticed big, positive changes in his personality and behavior. He is calmer, happier, well behaved, and having an easier time learning. I strongly believe it is a direct reflection of the incredible, caring, and patient staff. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this school. My son is excited to learn letters, numbers, colors, and work on penmanship. He has made friends and is thriving at this school. I would recommend GPUMK&P to anyone.

My daughter was at Granada Park Nursery School for TK and part of Kindergarten. Such a great experience for us. Ms. Maria, Ms. Agnes, Mrs. Laib, & Ms. Maggie really care about our babies and their growth & well being! I was such a worrier and when my daughter would cry at drop off and I'd have to walk away, of course crying all the way to work....they would text me a picture of her having fun with friends. She went to her new very advanced school extremely prepared and ready to succeed. Thank you to every single staff member at GPNSK. My son will be going there as soon as he's potty trained.

Our son has been attending GPUMNSK for the past year and it's been a great experience!  He attends the older class with Ms. Maggie and Marissa.  Really caring, kind and supportive teachers!!  They get our kid and knows his quirks, but mostly importantly, knows how to handle them.  Ms. Laib is super sweet and always tries to make sure the parents are aware of all the activities happening.  Can't thank them enough and it's such a relief to know that really caring preschools exists in Monterey Park!

My son attended the preschool program last school year before it was cut short by Covid19. He learned and grew tremendously in both social and emotional development in the short time he was there. He started in September and ended in March. His teacher Miss Maria was more than I could ask for. She genuinely looks out for every child's needs and knows how to deal with difficult situations. She comforted my son when he felt scared as he rarely was left alone without his immediate family. She also encouraged him with his school work. Before I used to give him practice sheets to trace letters and that would last about 3 minutes. After he started at this school when I asked him to trace his letters and name, he would happily say "Miss Maria will be proud of me".... " 'No scribble scrabble, stay on the line' that's  what Miss Maria says."  Now that he is in Kindergarten I know this preschool was very much influential towards his success. He feels happy and is a confident learner through zoom classes with Kinder. I'm so happy I chose this preschool and happy it is available in our community. Also- Miss Laib is the person who runs the school and she is very sweet and you can truly sense her good hearted spirit the moment you speak to her.

My 3-year old daughter has been attending GPUMNSK since late January of this year. It was her first time ever in a school/daycare setting; needless to say, we were all nervous! As expected, her first week was rough, but after that initial separation anxiety passed, she quickly became excited to go to school on her assigned days. Her teacher, Mrs. Agnes, is patient and kind, and my daughter sings her praises when she comes home from school. She's learning how to play well with other kids, and brings back the sweetest artwork (that we hang proudly on our refrigerator at home). It's clear that she is safe and well cared for while at school, and my husband and I are just so happy she's there.
