The left picture is right before I got 12 crowns done. The right is with the crowns 4M dental did on me. I went for a consultation on two crowns. They recommended a $9,000 gum treatment and I got it done. Fatima and Doctor Derick strongly insisted I do 12 crowns for a nice smile. They said most of my teeth had fillings, anyway. The doctor kept saying he had restored Hollywood actors' similes. That he could do it for me. I had a good experience with the gum treatment, so I trusted them to do the 12 crowns instead of 3 crowns. It was a total of $21,000 for the 12 crowns. On the day of the first appointment, Fatima mentioned that the doctor had reserved several hours to do my crowns and that they were excited for me. She asked if I was doing the 12 crowns, and I said yes. The doctor worked on my mouth from 9 am to 5:30 pm without a brake. At 5:30 pm, I had a headache, lots of pain in my jaw, and pain in my whole mouth. The doctor kept injecting anesthesia several times throughout the day, and I still felt pain the entire time. He kept saying some of his patients preferred not to have any anesthesia. The assistant, Jose, came and blew lots of cold air on my gums right after; I felt like I was fainting in pain. Jose told me I was supposed to be numbed when I asked him to stop. They sent me home with these BIG temp teeth. I went back to the dentist to adjust the temp teeth and still having pain for almost three weeks. I was taking Advil every 4 to 6 hours to cope with the pain. Doctor Derick sent me to a periodontist. I wore the temp teeth for 5 months. I was comfortable with the look of the temp, but they kept falling. I sent a message to the doctor when he was on vacation saying that I felt satisfied with my temp teeth and wanted to keep that style. So I went to try the crowns once; they were big. The second time, they kept falling when they wanted me to okay them. I was tired of wearing temps for 5 months since they kept falling. I okay them. I went home and saw how bulky and oversized they looked on my face compared to my own teeth. Text the office three days after asking if they could re-do my crowns because they were too big. They replied, saying they could not do anything. One of the crowns fell, and I had to return, so I told Doctor Derick I did not like my crowns. He asked me why I accepted them? I told him I was tired, but in reality, there is no way you can tell if you like them or not when half of the time, I was trying them for the first time and determining if they looked as expected. They keep falling, and you are wearing a temp that keeps failing. You are not supposed to tell an experienced dentist that your crowns are significantly big if the dentist assists you with a beautiful smile that looks almost better than your teeth. Preserve your teeth. Do not trust this office. I am attaching pics of before and after. 14 months have passed, and I don't smile like before. I lost confidence.
