Holiday Inn & Suites Barstow

We chose this hotel over others in the area due to reading reviews. The location is great due to having so many stores restaurants around. Our hopes of a pleasant stay were quickly shattered while unloading our luggage after a long drive. A man approached my family at our car and started violently yelling at my son, literally inches from his face. He was obviously on drugs and probably homeless. We were all stunned and quite scared. He continued yelling nonsense at us. My husband quickly gathered us inside and we spoke with the girl at the front desk to explain that a man was violently yelling and harrasing us. Another customer at the desk said that the man was also inside the hotel harrowing him. The front desk girl chuckled and could obviously care less this was happening in the hotel. We will never return to this hotel again due to their inability to protect their customers and care for everyone's safety. Please go elsewhere as this truckstop of a location is unfit for normal people.

Outdated and not very clean hotel Large rooms We arrived at night with 2 children and the person at the reception was not there and it took 15 minutes to appear

Rooms: Nice ..pretty basic.. has separate bedroom. Safety: Very quiet around here. Doesn't seem to be much trouble around Food & drinks: The breakfast is excellent Noteworthy details: The cleaning staff were great ..and so was front desk
