    How is it even possible that you show up to check in at 6pm in Barstow Ca and you have a confirmation number and you are told they gave your room away and its only 3 hrs after you are allowed to check in. After being on the road for 10 hrs you now have to keep driving to next town 3 hrs away because there is no available hotels nearby I will never use a Wyndham hotel again. The desk clerk seemed very nonchalant in giving us the information. Not sure why we didnt even get a phone call to let us know No communication whatsoever.

    AVOID AT ALL COST. There are other hotels in the area to choose from. I am in the Army and was in Barstow, CA on orders for a while. I had a reservation for the Ramada in Barstow from 6 March through 24 March. My orders got changed and I was told to return to my home station on the 20th. I informed the front desk on the 14th that I would be departing earlier than anticipated, on the 20th instead of the 24th. On the 19th, I checked with the front desk to make sure that they were tracking that I was leaving the next morning and the manager informed me that, I was welcome to check out but I would still be charged for the other four days anyway. They charged my card for the full time on the 6th when I checked in. After informing her that I gave more than 24 hours notice, which is their policy, I should not be charged for days after I check out, she continued to say that I can check out but the charges will not be refunded. The Ramada in Barstow fraudulently charged me/the government over $472.52 for a room that I had check out of. I will never stay there again and will ensure that anyone I know that is going there avoids that establishment at all cost. The picture shows my receipt and how they charged me for the 20th four times when I checked out on the 20th.

    Shoddy management practices. Our group revised our reservation to check out several days early. Upon checkout, we were informed that "only the manager could make adjustments to invoices" and our details would be sent at a later time. Only after departure did we learn that refunds would not be issued for cancelled dates, even those with more than 24 hours advance notice - despite this policy not being posted in any of their public facing information. Management was conveniently unavailable for the next several days during normal business hours, and ultimately never returned any requests for phone call discussion. In addition, members of our group were charged different room rates, despite our identical reservations, all booked through the same agency at the same time. Rooms are cleanish, and beds are not bad. The HVAC (A/C) was functional but put off a very strong musty/mold/mildew odor for the entire duration of operation.
