Jack by far his the nicest and most thorough apt complex manager on the planet.My little sister was a tenant in one of his buildings but her job transferre her to New York so she had to leave.Jack always fixed everything, being gracious and not forgetting to give back well deserved security deposits. He is amazing at his age. My wife and others think it is his new scooter - which allows him to get outside in the fresh air. Kudos Mr. Jack for being such a cool dude, for biking water dog lake and for keeping your rental properties affordable. God Bless you. We have lived in one of Jack's houses in Belmont for 7 years. He has been an excellent landlord--always very respectful and responsive --  jack didn't hesitate to fix problems ASAP.  He also updated appliances that were EOL or just weren't performing well. We highly recommend living in one of his properties.

My family and I loved living in one of Jack's beautiful hillside units in San Carlos. My wife and I moved into one of the units when our first son was only 3 months old, and Jack took it upon himself to put up extra protection so our boy wouldn't hurt himself on the beautiful wrap around deck and open staircase. Jack charged well under the market rate and never increased the rent in the 3 years we were there. This is unheard of in the Bay Area. I've seen a lot of negative reviews of Hildex/Jack, but we can't relate at all. Jack is a sincerely caring person. Each and every time we interacted, which usually was when there was a problem that needed Jack's help, Jack always came through. This place is a blessing for us. My husband and I struggled so much trying to find a place where both of us like. We went thruought the whole peninsula and we were not lucky. Finally this apartment in Belmont, where Jack is the owner, was posted on Craigslist and on that same day we talked and gave a deposit. One month later we moved in. Couldn't have asked for a better place. It is still very nice. Hardwood floors all over except the bedrooms which is great. Spacious, living room and dining room totally separated. Two whole bathrooms and lots of closets. Not forgetting the view we have, which is amazing. I sit on my balcony almost everyday drinking coffee and looking at the view. Just amazing. Now we have granite in the bathrooms too. Another thing is that Jack is a good landlord. If there is a problem he will fix it. We had problems with our former neighbors making too much noise all the time and he warned the tenants until he asked them to move out, which was a relief for everyone. I have nothing to complain about where we live. Very quiet place, cozy and safe.

Jack was showing an apartment to me. He was unprofessional and rude - made offensive remarks and was not respectful about the current tenant's privacy. Do not recommend.
