Used to find this place quality, but its gone downhill. I love Jose from maintenance, but have consistent poor customer service with Jennifer at the leasing office. Shes very intrusive and really doesnt understand boundaries. Her attitude is how Avalon can come into the building whenever they want. She offered other times but made a point that its Avalons building and they can do whatever they want whenever they want. When I have personal belongings and personal items (like clothes) sometimes you dont want people in your apartment. I cant afford to get sick right now and want to keep my face to face limited for work events and work in general,; explaining this was frustrating. I explained several times the A/C unit next to my loft window (I hear it and have witnessed it) makes sounds, but instead of taking my word, she called to harass me. I need to feel safe where I live, but she sure has some entitlement to my sleeping space I pay a lot for. I need my privacy and that needs to be respected, especially with some issues my husband had with paparazzi. I dont even know how you could work in customer service by being a bully! Some people need their privacy, and how she handled it was traumatizing.

Very good maintenance team! Irwin, Maria, and Jose are always on point and timely with helping out on various apartment issues, definitely a big plus point for anyone looking to rent at this location. Update: Still getting great service a few years in!

I have lived here for almost 5 years now, while I loved it at the beginning, off late Avalon has not been the best community to live at. They decided to start doing a construction in November 2023 without giving us an foresight into how long it will take and now here we are in March 2024, the construction is still going on and all of our amenities have been gone for all this time. I asked them through the app how long it will take and if they will compensate for the gym, pool etc. - to which I was first ignored, and eventually they have given us "discounted" rated to the YMCA which is a HUGE downgrade from the gym/pool/common space we had on site. On top of that up on further inquiry I found out that this will go on well into the summer - so out of the 1 year lease I have signed, I am looking at 6 to 8 months of noise, and no access to amenities with no compensation or clear communication. The construction is LOUD and it's hard to sit at home and work. They keep increasing the Trash/Water bills every few months. The customer service has gone down significantly over the last few months and this just isn't as much of a fun place to live as it used to be.

I will not recommend to anyone to live here. Been here a total of 6 years, and each year there's been a 10% increase on rent. They really don't care if you have been here for years. The manager of this property is rude as well. The amenities are dirty and broken. There was a rat problem for some time and I just recently learned from a neighbor that they have mold problem in their apartment. The only thing I love about this complex is the maintenance team. They are absolutely amazing.
