I recently brought my two-year-old Maltese to Cardiff Animal Hospital Wellness Center due to a leg issue. After diagnostics, Dr. Woods and the surgeon recommended surgery for luxation, patella, and cruciate ligament, quoting a charge of about $5000. Despite agreeing to the surgery, my wife and I faced hardships following their post-surgery instructions.
However, three months later, instead of improvement, my dog's condition seemed to worsen. Upon contacting them, their solution was to walk him uphill daily. Despite our efforts over six months, the situation hasn't improved. Dissatisfied, I recently visited again, and they suggested another surgery, requiring additional x-rays and tests, costing $720, along with an $85 consultation fee.
My overall experience with this clinic has left me dissatisfied, as it seems they prioritize financial gains over the well-being of pets. I cannot recommend this place, as it appears to be more about extracting money from clients than providing genuine care for their animals.

They steal and horrible to employees please reconsider being part of the problem
Go somewhere else unless for TPLOs she does them cheap. And only say that since people shouldnt have to pay a ton for their pets

I have been taking my animals to Cardiff Animal Hospital for six years. My pets love the staff and have always provided excellent care.
The staff is fantastic; Dr. Woods, Dr. Ingram, Dr.Alan, Maddie, Arica, Hannah, Kayla, and others are professionals and experts at what they do.
They have excellent bedside manner, they are patient, warm, caring, and most importantly, they listen to me. They truly love what they do and are there for the love of animals. I trust them emphatically and highly recommend Cardiff Animal Hospital to anyone that wants the best for their furry family members

I actually have yet to take my dog here, but I wanted to share that based only on my scheduling and travel/pet needs and how they have worked with me so far, this team has been fantastic to work with. If you are in SD area and need a vet, this is the best place a pet parent could ask for. Special shoutout to the nurse who helps with pet travel because it is a headache but she has been awesome to work with.
