Hilton Garden Inn Carlsbad Beach

The good -Room was clean, Bed was comfortable and staff was friendly. You get 4 stars just for that. The not so good.---The building is old and the room was in a little disrepair. They charge $22 per night for parking and didn't disclose that when I checked in. The just asked if I had a car and handed me a parking permit for my car. Then the end of the stay charged me. They also charge more for there Continental breakfast than one of the favorite cafes in Carlsbad charges for there best breakfast. I hate being nickled and dimed. I would probably look for another place before choosing this one again. Food & drinks: Never ate or drank there because after looking at menus and prices for a 3 star hotel we decided to go out.

Fabulous location and super friendly staff. Garden court and pool are perfect after a day at the beach. Going to walk along the ocean now! Update, husband got tar in his pants and the maintenance team of the hotel came to the rescue!

Nolan and Max were a delight a check in! It was a great start to my birthday weekend. All the staff was friendly and kind! Rooms: Cute, clean rooms!

The location of this hotel to Carlsbad Village and other attractions in Carlsbad is ideal; tucked away from the hustle and bustle enough. You can walk to the beach right across the street and take advantage of a free car service to a vast part of the area. The customer service and professionalism of the front staff of the hotel and take-out (Sarah) was superb. When concerns were brought up to the front staff, they responded immediately. The rooms were nice and bed very comfortable. We had a pool view on the second floor which enhanced our experience. However, we were woken up two mornings in a row by running back and forth and jumping in the room above us for hours (we were woken up at 7:00 am both times). Obviously having children wasnt enough reason the first time to settle things down. Security had to be called. There were also children running back and forth outside our room past 10:00 pm. The front staff did respond accordingly and quickly to our call about the noise which is the reason for the 3-star rating on the room.

This hotel and location is beautiful. Everything was easy to get to and the staff was super helpful and nice. Nolan greeted us at the front desk and informed us of everything we need to know; where to park and where our room was. Overall would recommend and come back.
