Don't bother with this place. Apartments are SLIGHTLY updated but it's like putting lipstick on a pig. Cabinets and plumbing have broken down multiple times. They won't even come for basic maintenance requests. Bugs and rodents are still a huge issue at this property and management keeps blaming the residents for "leaving food out" even though I'm a clean person. I should have taken the previous tenants reviews on here more seriously, don't make the same mistake I did.

If all the reviews you've already read on this place and management company didn't already keep you away this should help. I applied to this apartment complex and just got off the phone with property manager Dmitriy, who informed me that they will not be offering a month-to-month lease like their listing stated and will only offer a 6-month minimum. Extremely dishonest as I met with him 3 days earlier to see the unit, at which he confirmed that this would be a month-to-month lease. Note that this is AFTER I paid the application fee and had my credit pulled. This is textbook false advertisement, despite his argument that "We are a management company and we can offer whatever term we please," with no regard to their own listing and what was confirmed just three days prior. To their credit, they did refund my application fee, but now I must restart the apartment hunt process as I declined other units that I was also interested in favor of this one, only because they falsely advertised a month-to-month lease. If they are dishonest to just get people into the apartments I can only imagine what kind of business practices they employ on residents. Stay away at all costs.

By far the worst apartment complex I have ever stayed in! Management is incompetent. Homeless people always sneak into the complex. I once caught one of them looking through the window of my car. The surrounding community is extremely sketchy. The last straw was the bugs in the kitchen. I'm so happy that I left and found a new place in Huntington.

I am responding to all the below reviews here one by one. I am assistant property manager at that complex. To Jessica: We take pride in how fast we respond to all maintenance requests. Cheap fixtures that are falling apart? Did we receive a maintenance request from you? Bugs all over? As you are aware, personal hygiene and keeping food off the counters is the fist line of defense. Again, when we get a maintenance request about the bugs, it is usually tenant caused by leaving food for ants, to have a feast. We always take care of these issues in timely manner. However, if we do not get any notice from tenants, we are in the dark. Comment about Parking: We have 1 assigned parking space for each 1 bedroom apartment. 2 assigned parking spaces for our 2 bedroom apartments inside the gated complex? The comment about the lack of parking issues is unfounded. Guests park on the street, no exceptions. We tow if you park in a space not assigned to you. You would expect me to do the same if your parking space is taken, would'nt you ? To Ricky Lewis: We never had a tenant with that name in our complex. The only tenant that moved to Huntington Beach that we know of, that may have posted this comment here, is perhaps unhappy that their security deposit was not returned in full. They left a unclean apartment behind, debris in the backyard, tampering with our plumbing fixtures (we hired licensed plumber to re-do it and brought it back into move-in condition. Furthermore, this former tenant suggested that they could have done it themselves - NO THANK YOU). During their 10-month tenancy they had broke the toilet paper holder off, bathroom wall had smoke damage from the candle that had to be repainted, one bedroom wall was full of holes, it had to be patched, textured and repainted, they got new blinds upon move in - it was broken, TV was torn off the living room wall upon move out, this had to be fixed. These same tenants never complained about bugs in the kitchen. They got a brand new kitchen fixtures, appliances and granite counters with new sink and faucets, completely new wood look tile flooring before they moved in. This home has first floor kitchen and if one keeps the patio door open, things indeed can crawl in. We have very happy tenants living in that beautiful tile floor, granite counter-topped unit right now. Sketchy people around? We noticed many times, as you yourself walked through the pedestrian gates, never cared whether the doors are closed or not. Again, keeping people out of our community, who are not guests or tenants, is everyone's responsibility. It starts with you, dear former tenant, closing the gates behind you would be a good start. To Heladio Adame: Is professionally cleaned apartment, washed and sanitized carpets, new granite counters, new sink, new Moen faucet, new gas stove newer microwave really horrible? Please let me know what was horrible and I will try my best to fix it? To Robert Greenhalgh: Again, we take pride in having a team of professionals working and taking care of the property and tenants. There is always room for improvement and learning. I do not recall any incidents that would make someone so unhappy , with how we conduct our business, that they would post this generalized review here. Savannah Sanchez: You saw the apartment in September (weeks before you posted this review) and applied for our "disgusting" apartment with your husband Tyler (I assume that his review is the one down below with 1 start). After you saw the apartment, we could not agree on the move in date and you asked us to keep you on a waiting list for the next vacancy. We will not keep the apartment vacant for anyone, just because they have obligations to the previous landlord. We take pride in how we clean, repair apartments at tenant turnover. Why would you still want to be on a waiting list of a "DISGUSTING" apartment complex? To all readers: Please come and see us. We are nice, good neighborly, gated community nestled in the heart of Costa Mesa. My name (real name :) is Ave Miina.
