I called to publish a listing, Jerry took my info and said I'll get a notice when it's published. I asked if I could get a confirmation number or email or anything to reference the call and he said no.
I went ahead anyhow then thought about it and back 10 mins later saying I wanted to cancel the order to publish. Jerry picked up again, he said fine it's cancelled. I asked if I could have a reference he laughed and said no, but don't worry I won't be charged, I can call back and ask Kim to confirm in the morning.
That was Monday.
Today, I get charged!! There's no email or any notice from the news group about processing my publication JUST A CHARGE ON MY CREDIT CARD!
I call and ask for Kim, but Jerry answers and says Kim is not there. I ask to speak to a manager and he laughed saying "That would be me coz no one else is here." I asked why he charged me after laughing at me when I requested a confirmation for the cancellation. I get charged but no email about the publication either!!
He says call back Monday. Apparently "by law" they cannot give a confirmation or reference number before publishing.
WHY DID I GET A CONFIRMATION FROM ORANGE COUNTRY REPORTER right away then??!! Apparently the Orange County Reporter is ruled by a law that makes the CUSTOMER feel more secure!! I didn't say that to him coz there's no use dealing with outright liars.
I told him "This is why I HATE dealing with people who don't provide any kind of reference on a transaction!"
I'll call Monday but are they going to compensate me for all the time on the phone with them then and the ill treatment??!!
