Truly Pizza

A colleague told me this was his favorite pizza place, so I drove an hour to try it while in town. I tried to call on the way to order the pizza, and the automated system hangs up on you"1" to order when you press. This happened several times. When I arrived to pick up the order ( I eventually ordered online), several people were working and knowing I was there. Still, I waited several minutes before anyone came to give me my pizza. The pizza was not for me. I did like the location and atmosphere so dining in might be a completely different experience.

The pizza here is amazing. One of the best I've ever had. I highly recommend the Vodka pizza.

I really wanted to like this place but I had the worst experience last night. We ordered two pizzas and it took almost an hour to get them and they ended up being the wrong pizzas. We let the staff know and they took the pizzas back (btw they were closing at this point and we have bee there for over an hour and a half). It took another 30 minutes for them to bring us the right pizzas which they said had already been made and were boxed up on top of the over. They brought us the boxed up pizza and it was cold. We were still charged the full price for the pizzas and no accommodations were made for the wasted time spent. The only good thing that came out of our experience was the really sweet hostess and the pretty lemon trees.

I am a pizza connoisseur and I can confirm that this wasnt the best or even okay pizza I had for the hype it has. I ordered the Umami mushroom pizza, it tasted alright, nothing special. The worst part was how tough the dough was to take a bite and I literally couldnt eat the crust because it scraped the inside of my mouth trying to chew or take a bit on to it. It was a painful experience for me with my mouth all scraped for an okay pizza with the toughest dough. Friends ordered 4 different types of pizza and not everyone was super happy with it. We all thought it was okay. Only one good thing is they have gluten free options for people who cant have the regular which not many places have. The decor and ambience was good but we came here for food not instagram pictures and it did not serve unfortunately for us. Overpriced for sure.

Ordered pizza for take out, be prepared to wait 45 min. Pizza was more like a focaccia flat bread than a pizza, dry and painful to chew.
