The hotel is nice enough. Your basic La Quinta Inn. Front desk was very polite and helpful. Breakfast in the morning was pretty good. There was a sticky spot on the carpet on our floor and overall the hotels a little run down. But, absolutely shameful that in the city of Davis, home to the Earth Day movement, there is no recycling for all of the plastic from breakfast. More than half of everything we used for breakfast is recyclable but it all had to go in the trash.

Our family was going up over Spring Break to check out UC Davis, two miles from this hotel. We needed a place that allowed pets for our two small dogs. I found this hotel by Google search, excellent price, and booked it directly with the front desk. The hotel appears recently remodeled, and is clean, quiet, well maintained and a great staff that aims to please. Beverly, the wonderful lady who maintains the full breakfast operation runs a tight ship and the food was outstanding (waffles, hard boiled eggs, sausage, bacon, juice, coffee, cereals, muffins, etc.) and the table areas clean and ample. The pool and Jacuzzi were clean and well maintained, as were the rooms/bathrooms. The linens were clean and new and the queen beds and pillows super comfortable, with spotless bathrooms and great shower pressure. These things all matter, and they have them covered. There's a good and authentic Chinese dim-sum and seafood restaurant adjacent to the large parking lot. Will definitely stay here again when in Davis.
