Alvin Lee represented the buyers who proposed to purchase the assets, permits, and liquor license at my premises. The lists of the inventory and assets included with the sale were provided previously to the buyers . After the buyers clearly understood the terms and conditions of the sale ("as is" sale), they could have negotiated further if they were in disagreement. Instead, the buyers proceeded to have their attorney draft an agreement with new terms that were never agreed upon by both parties. The new draft was sent to my attorney two weeks later with all the changes that I had NOT agreed to; the terms were unreasonable, unfair and unilaterally favorable to the buyers. The changes made were unfair to me , the seller so my attorney had to review it and revise it to match the original agreement. Attorneys should work on negotiating fair terms for both parties, especially any terms that were agreed upon prior to their involvement. In this case the buyers' attorney tried to do whatever it took to either meet his clients' demands or maybe his own ideas; in any case they were unreasonable and unfair. Of course I, as the seller, couldn't agree. Instead of working out the deal that buyers and seller had agreed to, Alvin sent my attorney a hostile letter with false accusations and threatened to sue me for money (even resorting to lies and tricks). I felt that he had a bad attitude and his actions were unprofessional. This is surprising for someone with his degree and in his profession. If you look at both Yelp and Google reviews, this attorney has only 19 reviews and almost half were rated 1 or 2 stars which says a lot. Based on these reviews, who would want to hire an attorney that is unethical, unprofessional and cares about money over people, disregarding reputation , fairness and truth? I'd give 0 stars if I could and would not recommend his services based on my own personal experience and be careful working with him , Alvin Lee even indirectly to avoid running into a situation like mine.

I have had the privilege to meet Mr. Alvin Lee for various legal issues (some employment related and others insurance related). I can, without hesitation, say that Mr. Lee has been the most knowledgeable, professional and compassionate attorney Ive met. He sets a very high bar for himself in his profession. He is diligent, meticulous, and explains legalities in simple language, suggesting the best course of action from the clients point of view. I feel it would be an immense advantage for anyone who goes into or is considering a legal option to take his advice or second opinion.

This review is long overdue but I feel it is right to share my experience.  My business partners and I, hired Alvin Lee to create an operating agreement in 2018.  We met him in May 2018, paid him $1500 in June 2018, and received a draft operating agreement in late July 2018.  We emailed him on November 2018 and asked for an update on the operating agreement and received no response.  By late December 2018, we emailed him 3 times and received no response.  We made 2 phone calls (December 2018/January 2019) and left messages with his secretary and received no response.I believe my team did our due diligence of contacting Alvin and now we are stuck with a draft operating agreement.  Please be careful and don't end up like me.

Mr Lee finally responded after seeing this review.  Wow, it took a negative review to get a response.  His reason for not responding is he did not want to get involved in a case that was underway.  I explained to him it was not and then he apologized.  Rather than assume, he should respond. This is not what I would expect from an attorney, screening potential cases before hearing it from the prospective client, or I should say a previous client.

I also hired him for my business setup he charged me $6,000 and only did quarter of the work. Everything to seem to change after I gave him the full payment and now I'm going to have to hire another attorney to finish my work and I'm definitely going to take him to small claim court and please do not use this fake lawyer.
