This team is fantastic and highly Knowledgeable. Jackai comes from a PA background with additional birth education and certifications, as well as a mom who has given birth with practical advice. Her husband Stephen is an MD who also gained more Birth work certification and coached her through all their childrens births. To me this combination of practical experience within the medical construct and positive experiences with natural childbirth, makes them invaluable. Essentially, they embody the core of the Bradley method, which is that the vast majority of people can give natural childbirth successfully if that is their desire-And if interventions are needed, or if there is a decision made by a couple along with their medical team full informed consent is given & the parents feel Empowered and supported to make these decisions. They strive to educate students about the rationale behind declining interventions or weighting risk and benefits if choosing to accept interventions and not just blindly accept advice and suggestions that may not be helpful or necessary or not in alignment with the preferred birth plan. Though personally my birth experience was far from perfect, Steve & Jackai were both available by phone to guide my partner and I through the process and be extra resources-they are truly passionate and care not only about the work they are doing to de medicalize birth; but they genuinely care about their students and families as people. The love these people/educators show is evident and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Our family is truly Grateful for the connections we have built with them.

We are so thankful we took Jackai and Stephen's birthing class. It was really important for us know what was occurring at each stage of labor as well as ensure my body was prepared. With the knowledge we learned, we really could have had our baby anywhere because we learned how to advocate for what we wanted. Birth is magical but it doesn't have to be a mystery. Their course helps build your own confidence in the process. Plus they are great teachers-class was fun! I think it is a must for first time parents.

I took the Bradley Method course with Stephen and Jackai in 2017 and it was a very pleasant experience. Me and my husband enjoyed all the activities, information, and have the chance to listened from a marriage perspective how to support the pregnancy and delivery in a healthy way. If you are looking to take the Bradley Method in San Diego I highly recommend Stephen and Jackai.

Jackai and Stephen are excellent Bradley Method birth coaches! We were able to have the unmedicated birth that I wanted because we were so well prepared. Myself and my husband felt totally involved in each class and appreciated the in person and Zoom class formats. We felt free to ask questions. They are highly qualified teachers since they have had 4 natural births themselves and are medical professionals. We also got a lot out of the recommended reading and homework. I cant say enough good things about the class! :)

Jackai and Stephen really helped us prepare for the birth of our son. Once I got pregnant, I realized how little general maternal health education I received in my life. Their course helped my husband and I understand the stages of labor and delivery. It was also very helpful to understand the importance of good nutrition (lots of protein) in your pregnancy. Best of all, the tools they taught us helped me give birth unmedicated. Thank you Jackai and Stephen!
