I recently contracted Pacific Concrete to build the concrete decking around our new pool, which was in the process of being built. Our pool company referred us to PC and after getting a couple of other quotes, I ultimately decided to go with PC because their professionalism and the fact that theyd worked with our pool company on multiple jobs.
They finished our decking a couple of weeks ago and Im beyond pleased with the results. The quote and sales process, which was handled by Justin, was timely, professional, and thorough. Justin listened to what we wanted in terms of design and aesthetic, gave us a few options in terms of color and finish, and had a solution to some of the more tricky issues we had to deal with (such as eliminating a sump pump and replacing it with a French drain).
The construction process was also handled professionally and as timely as possible. The crew lost several weeks of work time due to the crazy rains in San Diego in February & March, but Brandon, Juan, and the rest of the team was there to work and get as much done as they could on the days the weather cooperated.
A few other things stand out from my experience with PC. During the construction phase and prior to the pour, I wanted to make sure the areas that were free of concrete werent land-locked in terms of having water and electrical sources for future irrigation and landscape lighting. A five min conversation with Brandon led to them adding conduit and irrigation tubes and re-routing some of the water sources in our backyard to make sure we were covered. There was a minimal charge, but I really appreciated Brandon listening to my request and working with me to find a solution. Also, special shout to the detail that went into capping off a few steps in our layout to match the pool coping/finish (see photos).
Overall Im super pleased with the end result and experience working with Pacific Concrete. Ive already asked them to come back and give a quote for phase II of our project to demo the existing fence and put in a retaining wall. Look forward to working with them again soon. My family is in the midst of a complex outdoor remodel project that involves a pool with tall bond beams (retaining walls), extensions of the retaining walls beyond the pool, and tight work space conditions that make staging of materials and equipment a challenge, just to name a few specifics that make our project more complicated than a typical backyard improvement job.We are currently about half way through the process. I would normally wait to post a company review until work is complete.  But Pacific Concrete has been a top notch, first class contractor and has really risen above all other disciplines of contractors throughout the work so far that have lead to project head aches.  Justin, Brandon and Saul have been nothing less than spectacular throughout this process.  To give some prospective, I myself am a licensed professional engineer with 14+ years of experience, and I feel I can trust Pacific Concrete to do what's right.I would love to share photos of progress work of the retaining walls that PC is building for us as the CMU block arrangement looks beautiful (forgive me, like I said I'm an engineer).  But I will share a final review update once the work is done and the walls and pavers are finished so only the pretty, fancy yard photos are associated with PC's yelp page and not photos of construction-in-progress (despite how cool the CMU blocks looks to me though).Thanks guys for giving my family some peace of mind during what has been a very challenging process to say the least at no fault of yours. It was important to me to share this post now rather than wait till the project is done, so any prospective clients see this now.If you need a masonry job done, call these guys.Updated post to follow once the work is done.  Can't wait...

Our experience with Pacific Concrete was outstanding.  I worked with Brandon, one of the partners, and he was kind, knowledgeable, flexible and worked with us well to plan the scope of the job.  Estimate came back quickly and professionally and was a very fair price for the work.  HIs crew is hardworking and respectful of the property, as well as rather nice (Alex, Gonzalo, Jorge).  Many thanks! These guys are top notch! I worked with one of the owners, Justin, directly during my landscape revision. We did a complete front and backyard landscape remove and replace on a large lot. Justin and his team were awesome. They showed up on time, continued to work until finished and did quality work. They were easy to deal with when changes in the plans needed to be done as construction was progressing. In fact, they pointed out several issues in the plans by the landscape architect that did not look right or were dysfunctional when laid out. They saved me a ton of money and grief by notifying me of these issues. They worked very well with the other contractors to keep things moving along.
The foreman on my job, Alex, should also be recognized as a superstar. He is very knowledgeable and skilled.
Without hesitation, I will call Pacific Concrete the next time I need any concrete work. Definitely a 5- star plus operation.

I needed to extend my driveway, add a walkway and a sitting area along with two walls. I had several different quotes, but the guys at Pacific Concrete were the most responsive. Brandon had an open line of communication during the entire project. The workers were very quick, thorough and cleaned up every day. If you need any concrete work or hard scape give Pacific Concrete a call, you will not be disappointed.
