I had a positive experience with this electrician. My project was to upgrade my panel to 200amps after getting the trenching done. I selected someone else for the trench job but they had the best price for the panel upgrade. Their technicians were very professional. They spent a few hours on prep work one day (meeting the current state standards for grounding) and came back another day to upgrade the panel. The time spent was dependent on what the SDG&E inspector wanted. In my case, they had to cut the front of the panel and lay the new one over it instead of taking out the old panel parts completely so it took a little more time with the cutting. They did not have to deal with any stucco work.

I called Anson Electric to repair an outlet for us and they were able to get me in quickly and do the job in a speedy and conscientious way. Highly recommend!

We've worked with Anson a few times and they have done great work. The first time we worked with them was to install a new light fixture. It required cutting a new hole in the ceiling and then patching up the old hole. We are very satisfied with the light! This last time I worked with Hector who was very fast and explained everything well to me so I understood. Unfortunately my last problem was a burnt out ring floodlight, but Hector diagnosed the issue and helped show me the problem. I will definitely call them again for other electrical needs.

Setting up the job via email was great...no issues there. I was quoted a price for the work involved and agreed to proceed with scheduling. The main issue resides with the communication between myself > the tech > HQ > back to me. Allow me to explain. During the job, an issue arose that the tech was able to resolve. This was an added cost, and during our conversation it was understood that the cost would be an additional $220. I agreed. However, after the job, it came time to pay for the service where I discovered that the additional job was actually nearing $400...not the $220 initially agreed on. I'm unsure why this happened exactly, but the company should have honored the $220 initially quoted by the tech. Though it's not a huge jump, it's more of the principle of it that bothers me. Simply put, it is not sound business practice. Furthermore, I was told that the company would send me a receipt via my email, however, that never happened. So now, I either need to waste time chasing that down or forget it altogether. Another strike. The tech was nice and knowledgeable. My gripe is not entirely with him per say. My gripe mainly resides with the shady discrepancies mentioned above. What really stinks about this experience is that I was prepared to re-hire Anson for a few other tasks, but after this experience, I will not and CANNOT recommend them to my friends/neighbors. Decide for yourself. This was my experience with them.
