Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Los Angeles LAX/El Segundo

The place smells horrible and extremely run down. Shameful that it even has the marriott name on the building. Avoid it all costs looks and feels like a run down motel.

The only thing that let this place down was the breakfast. I think for the price there could've been a better spread with a vegetable thrown in somewhere. The staff however were all awesome and super polite. Shout out to Jessica, who was just lovely x

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. I did a lot of research on hotels in the area and settled on Fairfield, and I'm glad I did. The customer service was fantastic! Our plane landed quite early at 10 am. The hotel shuttle picked us up, and we arrived at the hotel around 11 am. Knowing check-in wasn't until late afternoon I was concerned about what we would do for so many hours without a room. Thankfully, the staff held our luggage in a secured room and put us on a wait list for early check-in. After eating lunch across the street at In n Out Burgers, we received a call to let us know a room was ready around 12:30pm. Wow, what a relief. The staff was so kind throughout the whole process. The room we initially got had a broken AC, but within 5 minutes, we were brought keys to a room right next door with working AC. The rooms were spotless and the beds were comfortable what a plus! Great balcony views as well. We enjoyed having so many restaurants and shopping within walking distance. This was another reason I decided on this location. Without transportation, I wanted to have restaurants and shops within walking distance. The hotel is what I would call "vintage," but they have done a great job keeping it up to date the best they can. The only issue we had was that you have to take the tub drain stopper completely out of the bathtub for it to drain. We didn't figure this out until the 2nd day as we all had to stand in a pool of water to shower the first day, kinda gross. As well as the TV reception was a bit of a pain because they had direct TV, and satellite reception was pretty bad while we were there. Regardless, I would absolutely recommend staying here. If we ever are in need of a hotel close to LAX, we will definitely stay here again. Thanks Fairfield El Segundo, for a great stay!!!

Staffs wonderful They let us leave our luggage there while we roam around the neighborhood. Helpful and organized. Room clean and ac works well. Breakfast was wonderful. A lot of staffs on deck at breakfast area and front counter. Offered water bottles for us. Thank you! Walkability: Restaurants close by to walk to. Close to airport and offer shuttle.
