Been doing my laundry there for years. Always a good experience, never had anything stolen, machines are good, workers and managers are really nice too.

I know times are tough yet owner's knowingly refuse to turn on brand new hot water heaters so ONLY COLD WATER in all machines- even though you select warm or hot options. More than 1/2 machines aren't in working order. Owners ARE AWARE of this problem and I guess it's just another business screwing the American people. Paying $7.80 for a large load I at the very least expect hot water to clean my clothes properly. Maybe more people need to comment about this significant problem so that they feel pressured to such it up and pay the higher power bill.

Dear Anna, thank you once again for bringing this to my attention.We tested the toploaders previously and sampled only one, which at the time was hot and I sent you a personal photo to show you we where working on the issue you and I had a personal interaction about.Last night again, I asked our repair man to examine why the new $50,000 boiler was not delivering hot water to the toploaders. After examining the pressure on the boiler it was adjusted to reach all toploaders as all of the machines were tested again last night. This is an unfortunate situation and I again I apologize for the inconvenience.The Jolly Clean Giant has been in Encinitas since 1987. We value our community and contribute in a number of ways that are generally not known to the public.I realize you have been inconvenienced and should be compensated for that issue. However I also believe you should be compensated for pointing out this issue. Had we not heard from you I would have been unaware of this issue leading to other dissatisfied clients. Therefore I am grateful for your persistence and will have an appropriate card w credit available for pick up at your convenience.Thank you

There seems to be a poor customer relations problem. The staff seems angry and miserable. When the boiler went down and there was no hot water this business stayed open and failed to communicate that there will be no hot water. They wanted people to continue to feed money into their expensive machines. They make customers pay to use the bathrooms. The homeless live there and hang out in the parking lot. The laundry machines are expensive. This place needs new owners who understand that customers will not tolerate poor conditions and angry staff.

Eric, we are sorry for your experience. We immediatly placed mulitple signs at the entrance, change machines and card machines alerting our customers that there was no hot water. We worked around the clock to procure a new boiler-less system and had it installed after hours. In the future please feel free to reach out to the manager on call or staff on site.
