Decontee African Hair Braiding

My braids always come out perfect! Ive been coming to Decontee for years and am happy every time. Sarah is the best!! Highly recommend :)

This was originally posted 6 years ago(corrected a word today) First of all this is my first review ever!!!! But I thought this place is worth me reviewing! I was scheduled for a 8 o'clock appointment one week ago. Traveling for about an hour I got there 5 minutes till. Once I got into the building I was greeted by Sara And was told that my hair dresser will be in shortly. After waiting for about 40 minutes Sophia came in. She never acknowledged me, she never apologize that she wasted 40 minutes of my time, the first thing she said was "I'm not feeling well" which was not addressed to me directly. Now don't get me wrong I understand that it's hard to work when you're not feeling well. But I would have rather for her to tell me that, and reschedule me. But she continue to work on my head she did not want me to ask questions, she didn't want me to explain what I wanted, she wanted me to sit there and be quiet, remind you this is my first time ever visiting this place. Sara was not too much better she told me "to stop asking questions, and to let them finish and in the end I will be happy". They didn't want to give me the price until after my hair was done. I also brought my 10 year old daughter to get her hair done after mines. This was her first time ever getting braids Which I disclose to them. She also went on to explain that she didn't have a lot of time to do anything big, my question is well why would you schedule an appointment if you didn't have time!!!! Sara started on her hair and after my daughter said ouch for the third time she took down the seven braids she already had put in and decided that she was not gonna do her hair. In conclusion let me say I was pretty happy with the results of my hair even though if I would have been allowed to see what she was doing I would have made a couple slight changes. However I will never return to this place of business. After leaving her shop I called around in the area and found a place called Platinum Beauty bar. Great customer service, listens to what their customer wants, very clean and organize. Will definitely recommend them. The owner's name there is Montrice.

Not happy with how my hair came out. Took it down after 1 week. Also Cera was kind of rude to me I felt.

I have been going to Decontee African Braiding Shop for five years and Sarah has done a excellent job. I receive compliments on my hair all the time. I am so happy I was introduced to Decontee and you will be happy too!
