Evan is a great teacher. We have three kids taking piano lessons from him and they really like him as a teacher. Evan is very patient but firm with the kids and they learned a lot. I think because of his teacher that the kids really enjoy playing piano. I highly recommend him to teach your kids.

Player One Music Studio is an excellent program and I highly recommend it for any age and level. Mr. Evan has been a phenomenal teacher. My son has been taking piano lessons with him for many years. He is now 17 and just completed CM level 7. He loves his lessons with Evan who inspires him to pursue excellence in his musical journey. Thank you Evan and Player One Music Studio!

Evan is a fantastic teacher that I would recommend without hesitation for adults and children alike. I am an adult learner and have been taking lessons from Evan for almost a year. As a child, I took piano lessons off and on with four different teachers. During lockdown, I was fortunate to have the time to renew my passion, but became frustrated with a lack of progress fumbling around on my own. My friend recommended Evan, who teaches her three children. I don't think I could have been more fortunate in finding such a gifted teacher. Suffice to say, I have a lot of gaps in my learning. Evan is extremely patient and is a terrific guide in helping me focus my practice sessions to maximize progress. He is always prepared for my lessons, but is also flexible; he seeks my feedback, is engaged and observant, and adjusts his instruction expertly. Evan is sensitive to my personal goals and also to the fact that as an adult, I have work and other responsibilities that at times take precedence over piano. That said, he continues to push me to challenge myself. I cannot emphasize how much learning and growth I have made since starting lessons with Evan--in technique, sight reading, theory, interpreting, and overall musicality. Above all, lessons have brought me a sense of personal fulfillment and an even deeper appreciation for piano and for music. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that Evan is also wonderful with children, and he offers a unique incentive program and opportunities through Player One Music Studio. To anyone reading this who is on the fence about starting piano lessons ("maybe someday"): Do it! Invest in yourself. Mr. Evan Kliewer is an excellent piano teacher and a brilliant pianist. His love of music and passion for piano is inspiring. He tailors the lessons and practice assignments to our child's individual needs and interests. He praises her successes and challenges her to reach her highest potential. We were so pleased at how he prepared her for her first recital. She was anxious and hesitant to play her piece with both hands but his confidence in her made all the difference. At only 7 years old, her first performance was a memorable success! Evan is approachable, organized and flexible. He's efficient, making good use of the lesson time to cover so many aspects of learning piano. He is patient and balances lightheartedness and seriousness in his teaching approach. This is especially valuable when instructing children but adult learners benefit from this teaching style as well. Evan keeps students motivated and engaged with incentives, workshops, recitals and more. Not all piano teachers offer such a dynamic program. We are excited to see how much more our child will accomplish under Mr. Evan's instruction.

My kids began taking lessons with Evan about nine months ago and their skill development has been phenomenal. Although each kid came in at a different skill level, Evan has been able to customize lessons to help each one advance at an unexpectedly rapid pace. I really like how Evan emphasizes piano technique, sight reading, and music theory. The kids love Evan's methods of teaching and the point program he uses to incentivize regular practice. They also get great satisfaction in being able to play some of the classical pieces they hear on the radio. The skills they have acquired at Player One have allowed them to participate in special opportunities in their school band/orchestra such as playing piano solos. The master classes and recitals are always fantastically organized and fun experiences for both the students and their parents/guardians.
