Nick Hugosson represented us for the purchase of a home in Fresno. His expertise as a real estate broker and lawyer was very helpful to us during the entire the process. Nick drafted the purchase agreement and led us through the counter-offers. His experience with comparable sales in the area allowed us to propose a price that was reasonable to us. The seller wanted a quick close. Nick was able to negotiate with the seller to agree to 30 days. This allowed us adequate time for inspections, time to react to the findings, and time for us to gather funds to close the sale. The seller requested to stay in the house a few days after closing. Nick was able to advise us on the legal concerns and protections, which allowed us to feel comfortable agreeing to a purchase contract with that stipulation. Nicks relationships with local contractors enabled us to complete appropriate inspections within a few days of us having a signed purchase contract. Based on the inspection findings, he recommended what we could take care of ourselves at low cost and risk, and what we should expect the seller to fix. Nick was personally present during the inspections and had his experts there to witness the one serious repair that the seller completed. Nick had excellent suggestions for cost-effective quality tradesmen to complete the repairs that we took on ourselves. During the entire process, Nicks experience, diligence, transparency, responsiveness, and good business working relationships got us into a great house for a reasonable price in a timely manner.
