We came to Dr. Downing during a very hard season of our life. We struggled to agree and did not want to compromise. At first we would go into Dr. Downing hoping he would tell us who was right and who was wrong but it never turned into that. He guided us into having these conversations that made us feel heard and care about. We learned a lot from him, and know his prayers and wisdom helped us get through a very tough time in our marriage. Forever grateful that we took the time to work on our marriage and spent the money.

In the most difficult time of my life, Dr. Downing was a safe place. His patience and kindness were a gift from God. I could not nor ever be able to have imagined that my life could have such stability and hope. Because I could trust Dr. Downing, I can also trust in the faithfulness of God. Not only did he help me in my relationships with my children and other family members but he helped me see me. He taught me that I had worth when so much of my life experiences told me otherwise. To help someone see themselves through the eyes of their Creator is to give them hope in their hopelessness. I am so very thankful for Dr. Downing, his wisdom, his patience and most of all that he allowed me to be a client. I would recommend Dr. Downing and do often to all.

Absolutely phenomenal. Helped me through an extremely difficult time and kept me grounded to the truth. It's tough to find a good counselor. Dr. Downing definitely fits the bill.
