  • I would like to leave my feedback on the attempt to collaborate with Modera in Glendale. Before filling out the application, we repeatedly contacted the Marissa manager to find out more about what is needed to fill out the application and asked if we could submit documents in our situation. The manager said yes. We filled out the application and paid $120 for two adults. During the inspection, they asked for updated documents - we provided everything. Marissa said everything was fine. A couple of days later we received a refusal on the application. When we started asking why we were refused? We received an answer that the 726 loan is bad and we do not have enough funds to pay for the apartment. Although we showed an income almost 10 times more than the building requires (the building requires an income 2.5 times higher than the rental payment). All requirements were the same. The site that checks documents gave 88% out of 100% that we are reliable. When we wrote and asked why we were refused, no one answered. Afterwards we called Marissa to ask in person. They described the situation again and she replied Im confused. She couldn't answer because there was no reason. We asked if they could check again and Marissa replied that the manager had made such a decision. That's all. After that, I wrote on Instagram and asked if I could talk to the manager and do you know what they did? They blocked me. Modera makes money from applications and rejects applications for no reason. Think several times whether it is worth contacting them. I would like to leave my feedback on the attempt to collaborate with Modera in Glendale. We moved in September 2022 and our experience has been nothing but incredible. We are so grateful for everyone from the managing staff to the maintenance team.. every single person goes above and beyond to make our community the best it could be. From responding to maintenance request the same day to implementing new policies that make every day life easier and more comfortable.we could not ask for a better community to be a part of!

  • The best staff ever This place is beautiful and calm. There are several perfect cafes for breakfast nearby. I do like the managers Aeriell and Lisa. They always help with different questions. They are very friendly. The apartments are comfortable and beautiful. We have a washer, dryer, dishwasher, microwave, oven, and stylish kitchen island. We can call the maintenance staff if we need them and ask them to help us with something in our apartment. I do like to live here!

Figured it was time to write my review. I didnt feel inclined to before, but I feel like I must now. Been here since 2019 and have seen lots of shifts in the building in terms of the people, cleanliness, and rule changes. Ive had a man break my windows by throwing rocks from the outside. Police had to come. I asked Modera to change my apartment location because I didnt feel safe, and was met with a lot of resistance. I had stuff stolen from my storage locker in the parking garage. I asked for footage from the cameras and was met with resistance with that as well. I was also told that the camera couldnt even see where my car is parked. Apparently, my car is in a blind spot that I didnt know about before. Security comes at night, does a quick! walk through, and then leaves. Police had to come to the unit next to mine and use a battering ram to open the door. There was someone screaming out of concern for who was inside. A gun went off in this building and for my own safety I asked which floor, and was met with no answers and no follow up as to what happened. I also witnessed from my window a male on the edge of the balcony threatening to jump. The quality of the building also went down during this time in terms of cleanliness. Pet waste stains in the carpet, in the hallways, in the garage, and the stairwells. The stairs have cigarette butts and/or trash. There was a carpet cleaning, but it wasnt enough. People smoke here and management cant seem to do much about it besides email tenants. One day I noticed that there were cracks in the ceiling and on the floor, which makes me concerned for the actual stability of the building. During the pandemic I paid every month with limited access to amenities. Now, theyve changed the hours at the gym. It used to be 24/7, which is something I really liked in my lease. Parking used to be a little tricky in the guest parking area, but it got resolved with residents getting a guest pass every day from the office. Now, the current manager has focused even more on it with a digital system. Parking is so empty now because people are afraid to park because of all of the new rules. You can have guests come short term (6 hours) but you only get 24 hours in a month. If you want guests to stay over, you get 5 full day passes a month and thats it. After that if you want an overnight guest, you have to pay $5 a day. It baffles me that the amount we pay for a luxury building, tenants are being put in a position to choose when/how often they can have someone come visit. Or they have to figure out how many passes they have left in a month. Absurd. Residents arent allowed to park in guest parking, but if they pay now its okay. The rules just seem inconsistent to be honest. They tried to raise my rent $700 with a lease offer. That was with no upgrades to my unit or to the building. Price gouging at its finest. This building loves money, simply put. Seems like theyre trying to make up for people not paying rent during the pandemic. They towed one of my guests cars. They said theyre supposed to give you a courtesy call, but I didnt get one. I asked for the location of the towing place and was given the wrong address. SMH. It did get resolved with the manager Chris, but it still left a bad taste in my mouth. It just seems like long term tenants arent valued as much as new ones. They want new people to come in and pay higher prices over keeping long time tenants happy. So many people I know end up leaving because of these concerns. Maybe Ill be next. Ive loved my unit, and the maintenance guys are good and responsive. Location is great. The change in management here has just really soured it for me.

Hi Monique, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I appreciate your input, however, I've noticed that some of the information provided may not be entirely accurate. Most of your photos are outdated as well, including the blinds we upgraded in your home in 2022. We also have no reports from you regarding your storage, or your areas of concern around the Community, but would like to gather more information to investigate these further. If you would like to discuss our parking program or your Month-to-Month renewal rate, I would encourage you to schedule a meeting with us. We are an ever-evolving Community and are sad to hear that our recent Community Improvement such as your new Roller Blinds, BBQ Grills, Amenity Lights, Landscaping, Routine Hallway & Trash Cleanings, Guest Parking, and Increased Resident Events haven't hit the mark for your resident experience. We are open to hearing your suggestions on how to improve the resident experience. I am available at 818.551.0055 or [email protected] to learn more. Thank you. Chris Babaian, Community Manager
