California Primary Healthcare is top of the line, all of the nurses are amazing warm and friendly. I cant say enough about Mr and Mrs Dr. Protacio. it feels like home when I walk in and you can feel that they care about your well being and recovery.Thank you for all your help and patience

Always late and waiting room is typically packed!Beware if you are looking for a real connection and attention that you will not receive it here.Told to text in for appointments but no one responded until I called a few days later, then they started texting.Heading for surgery, was told they needed a new ekg to approve surgery but the ironic part is, this was a rescheduled surgey and they never did the first ekg.Was just in for all the blood tests ect for surgery today but they are overbooked and they proceeded to take my vitals at the front counter. Pretty sure that is a hippa violation.Dr.Prostacio has shaky hands like Parkinson's but is still practicing medicine vs. retirement. He tells you to pray about your ailments which is kind of nice but with something that requires surgery, not exactly what you would expect.

My Dad just got out from a Major Surgery.  We went to see Dr. Protacio. We came at 9:50am for My Dad's 10am appointment. The clinic staff kept telling us we'll be next or we're next. 12noon we havent been seen yet!!!! This place is a waste of Time, Money and effort. Its a torture place to wait more than 2 hours!!!!!

Better to go somewhere else. Wait times are unacceptable and the waiting room is disgusting. The only good thing about this place is that there is always parking, that's probably because no one comes to this terrible doctor's office. Urgent care wait times are way faster than this place. The doctor doesn't listen to his patients either.

I've been to Dr. Protacio's office 3 times at this point for various reasons. The office staff is friendly (which is the only reason i'm giving the facility 2 stars vs 1) but overall the office is dysfunctional. They've lost my time sensitive lab results three different times for three different tests at this point (or "haven't received them" even though the lab confirmed that they were sent in). I've personally had to track down my results or go pick them up from the lab itself. When I had to have a school physical done, the forms were filled out without actual examination, which is definitely NOT okay or ethical. The MD in the office (Dr. Protacio) has no idea what's going on with most of his patients due to over scheduling and won't meet with you unless you specifically ask to see him. Patients are usually seen by NPs, which is fine for basic cases, but can be problematic otherwise. The NP that saw me was very sweet and helpful, but unfortunately there wasn't effective communication between herself and the rest of the office with regards to my case. The office recently ordered the WRONG diagnostic test (ordered X ray instead of Ultrasound), never got back to me with my (obviously negative) results until I called in, and then had the MD speak to me over the phone to try to cover up the mistake by telling me that they'll monitor the issue and order an ultrasound in four weeks "if I still wanted one". Office incompetence is one thing, but medical incompetence is definitely unacceptable. Lastly, I don't appreciate how they have all patients fill out Annual Wellness Exams without telling the patient what the purpose of the forms are. Let's be real, this is a way to make a quick buck off of patients and is really meant for older patients (asks questions about fall risk etc). I'm not one to complain about office wait times or staff demeanor, but medical performance definitely calls for a review. A patient shouldn't feel like they cannot trust their PCP, and that being said, I've decided to change my PCP for (hopefully) the better.
