        Small cabins with a lot of character. Very relaxing, quiet. Great place to take kids, they have talks about chickens, provide fresh eggs for you to cook breakfast. They have other animals like goats and rabbits. They have a garden where you can harvest fresh greens for salads or flower arrangements. All of it is naturally sustainable. The owners are really good stewards of the land, and dedicated to you and your relaxation. They even have a meditation class. Nearby activities: Close to Gualala, close to the beach for a walk with nature. It's all about experiencing the Mendocino coast and nature.

        Mar Vista Cottages is incredibly wonderful! My family and I just returned; this was our 3rd visit with the plan to make this an annual trip with our family. Our 3 year old granddaughter was outside from early morning until dusk, and then into the night with flashlights. Heaven for her and for us. Plus add chickens, feeding the goats, an organic garden ( my granddaughter remembered getting carrots and apples from our last visit so getting to the garden was a priority), goats, many hikes to the creek ( very doable for a 3 year old) a campfire and s'mores. The beaches are also wonderful, just a bit too foggy this trip. We stayed 3 nights this trip, definitely recommend at least 3 nights and longer if you can do it! This is a place for families, for couples, for anyone wanting to get away and enjoy nature, solitude and excellent stewards CAB and Deanna. We are so grateful we found Mar Vista Farms. The next trip, I'm going alone! Looking forward to the peace and solitude
