image Had to call 911 because there was a car in my driveway.. sounds weird, but I'm in a moblie home park, and this never happens. I thought there may have been someone in my home either robbing it or waiting for me to go in and check it out and be attacked. I don't know all of my neighbors yet, and I did not recognize the car. I've been in my new home for about 2 months.Waited about 45 min for a response. Understandable as there was no *immediate* danger....and of course domestic situations and shootings take precedence. The officer called first before coming over. They ran the plate and realized it was one of the neighbors. On the phone he said he'd go to their house and tell them to move it.When he arrived, he started talking about having it towed. And then, got a bit mad when we said we didn't want THAT to happen for fear of retribution, etc. Then he made a snide comment to me about how he'll go talk to the neighbor because the domestic violence and robberies can just wait.I was a taken aback by that comment. It was very rude and condescending. We didn't need him to stay for an hour so we could do an intervention or "talk about it". It was a quick talk-to in hopes he could get them to move thei r car. If that didn't work....then we'd go to the tow company...The 911 dispatchers were awesome. The cop was obviously under stress and I understand that completely. They were short staffed. But, I still appreciate him handling the situation for us. I appreciate all they do.Come to find out, the neighbor's guest parked in the wrong driveway!! So they apologized and quickly moved it!  One huge misunderstanding! All's well now.

image My partner went to pay a fee and this black lady was so rude and said it wasn't there literally threw a paper not explaining what it was for through the window so disgusting how she behaved and another lady helped him with more information after he came back. If she don't wanna be there then her ass should stay at home he's Hispanic and it sucks how low we can get treated by a simple receptionist with low manners. Just because she's in a police station it doesn't make her somebody. She should take a course on how to treat people at-least during her work hours.

image On a Friday evening, I had the pleasure of going thru a DUI/License Checkpoint, hosted by the Hayward Police Dept.  It was located at Foothill Blvd & City Center Drive.  In general, the police officers were professional, polite and direct.  The problem was the speed of the checkpoint was slow. At times it would just stop.  So, three lanes were narrowed to one lane. I somehow became the lead vehicle, and I saw the problem. The checkpoint lane ends/exits at a traffic light. So when the light is RED, the line cannot move. You can turn right, but most traffic is going straight.  So if you setup your DUI/DL checkpoint somewhere where there's no immediate traffic signal, the line would probably move a little faster. But that's not really important. What's important is snagging drunk drivers, drivers with no license, and educating the public.
