I have used these guys off and on since I moved to the area in 2002.  The owner is as straight as they come.  They don't seem to have a computer, so no email and no website.  If the shop is too loud, we'll maybe they will hear the phone.You will be rewarded for going in in person and asking, just like thongs were done when they opened 40 years ago or whatever.High quality work.  Prices are beyond reasonable, and they are the sort of people who work on a handshake.  Sound like the sort of business you can trust?I can, and do.  Go by and sat hello.  I promise that it will be worth your time.

First off, the telephone number listed for this business is incorrect. The correct phone number is 510-398-8570. When I called the number listed above I received a message from AT&T stating that the business was no longer in service and that they could help me identify similar businesses in the area. The AT&T operator gave me the number to two other welders in Hayward and I called one and left a message but never heard back. I spoke with the other welding service and asked them to provide a quote as to what it would cost to fix / reinforce a set of 4 aluminum patio chairs. I sent them photographs through email and they provided a quote that I felt was fairly reasonable. I did a little more digging online to see if Cordeiro's was still in business because I wanted to use these guys because they had welded an aluminum intake manifold for me a couple of years ago and they did a great job. I was eventually able to locate a phone number and reach out to them. These guys are old school but they know their stuff. I read the other review where the guy mentioned that their welds were a glob and that was not my experience. The welds that they put down for me looked like a perfect little pile of coins that had fallen over and all of them have held up very well. These guys charged me LITERALLY one third of what the other welding service had quoted me. The only reason that I did not give these guys 5 stars is because they are a little bit behind on their technology. It would be nice to be able to send a picture via email to obtain a quote as opposed to showing up at their place with the job in hand so that they can look at it. Give them clear direction as to what you are looking for and they will be able to complete the job at a very reasonable price!

This place is a real hack job.  I took a threaded aluminum bung to be welded to another piece of aluminum.  The bung had a plug in it so no slag would get into the threads.  Not only did they take the plug out.  They welded directly into the threads.  Then they tried to grind out the threads and ended up grinding directly on the threads that were left over.  This was a very simple weld.  Also there wasn't a bead of weld, it was a complete mountain.  It looked like it was someones first attempt at welding aluminum.  Normally this isn't a huge deal and I am pretty laid back ,ie blah whatever.  But I was under a time constraint,  The part was even next day aired.  Now I lost the $ in shipping, the $ in the two parts and my time.  Will I ever go back NO.  So my fix... I ended up buying a piece of aluminum block, a 3/8 NPT tap, a 37/64 drill bit, had another place weld the block into place after I drilled out and ground down the mess that Cordeiros made  then I drilled and tapped it myself.  Yes its a square piece of metal, it doesnt look good, doesnt have a beveled edge and I will eventually buy all new parts and do it right, but I needed it working!  tap cost 12$  bit cost 12$ new aluminium piece 13 $so now I am into this little project for: 99$ total.  which should have cost me a total of 21$ and ALOT less time.  I am at the  point where time is money, and this hurt.
