I could not recommend WPNS more! My older daughter attended this preschool from age 2.5-4.5. She was an extremely shy girl, reserved, liked to observe from the sidelines, and didn't speak up much. A few months in, she was belting out "Let It Go" for the whole school to hear at pick-up time. This is a wonderful play-based school that allows children to learn so many things through messy play (and your kids WILL get messy). An added bonus is the wonderful community of families you get to meet when part of the co-op. My younger son just started and he already loves it!

Perfect school for my son (3 years old), who is very active and has a lot of "big emotions". If you want to pick up your kid at the end of the in pristine condition, who sat nicely at a desk all day - this is not the preschool for you! If you want to pick up a HAPPY kid who will probably have paint on their shirt and sand in their shoes but will have a full heart, WPNS is the school for you! I also appreciate the flexibility in their schedule, offering early drop-off and late pick-up options. As an added bonus, it was one of the most affordable options around.

If i'm honest the initial reason I sent my daughter to WPNS was the affordable price point - VERY rare these days! - and that I could walk there with my girls. It's turned into much more than that for my daughter and us! I love that she has blossomed there. I'm constantly blown away how the teachers are able to not only keep our kids safe all day but intimately know each and every one of them and what they need. On top of all that they do in a day they're constantly planning and executing the sweetest activities that are truly above and beyond, and I have no clue how they do any of it. This is a coop, so parent involvement is expected. I think it's what you make of it, and for us once we got through the learning curve it's more than worth it and is even fun and way to create community if that's what you're looking for. WPNS is a large open space split up into smaller focused spaces and back garden area perfect for getting barefoot and dirty. There are boundaries in place with a lot of freedom in the middle which I think has worked great for my daughter.

Our family has been part of the WPNS community since they moved to the Aviation location 4 years ago. We were hesitant about the play base philosophy as we wanted our children to be academically ready. But because we also felt that kids should be able to just be kids and play for as long as they can before having to focus on academia for the next 13+ years, we made one of the best decisions for our children and enrolled our eldest son at 3 years old. Now that our oldest is in first grade, we can see how WPNS emotionally prepared him to be kind, caring, creative, socially responsible and intellectually ready. He is in the top 5 of his class, overshot the expectations for Kindergarten, reads chapter books and can already do multiplication! Also, since this is a co-op, we had the opportunity to be more involved than allowed at traditional schools. Our son is still very proud that his dad helped build the play structure and other projects at school. Our second son, who will soon be moving on to Kindergarten in less than three months, gets excited that I make playdough for the school or volunteer to help. We love getting to show up for them. The wonderful memories, sweet, caring teachers and staff and their dedication has helped our children grow, handle "big feelings," be respectful of all things and people, be empathetic and still assert their unique individual selves while having fun through it all! We love WPNS!!
