Ledson Winery & Vineyards

We had one of the most informative, memorable and enjoyable times of our honeymoon at Ledson. We walked in on a Monday afternoon for a tasting and were the only ones. We thought, that's great we'll get all the attention. Little did we know that the person doing the the wine tasting would be the assistant winemaker (mind blown). I don't want to go into details on how he went above and beyond, because I'm sure this was a little out of the ordinary. We told ourselves going in that maybe we would buy a bottle or two of "nice" wine. However, the experience was so extraordinary that we bought a case of some of their most expensive wines. I also want to put into context the quality of their wines. After wine-touring in Sonoma, we did the same in Napa, going to both well known and lesser known wineries. At some of the well known wineries (Hall, Nickel & Nickel, Chateau Montelena, Del Dotto) we tasted $200+ reds, some right out of the barrel. Ledson's $100+ reds were on par, if not better, than those more expensive reds. Having said this, I hope Ledson doesn't raise their prices.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Ledson. Jerry could not have been more knowledgeable and friendly. He accommodated our wine preferences, and we tasted so many amazing wines. We learned so much about wines. It could not have been a better start to our wine country stay! Highly recommend Ledson winery tasting and their wines!
