This place is such a great resort.  We stay here for a few days every summer and rent several cabins and hotel rooms for our families.  The lake is good for swimming and fishing.  The buildings are in good working order considering the extreme conditions.  Fresh air, clean rooms, and night star sky keep us coming back.

Yes, we went back for two more dinners. Hard to give up having dinner on the beautiful new deck under twinkling string lights with a view of Silver Lake. My first review of the season was harsh, but true.  The last dinner of the season for us of fresh trout served by a very attentive and courteous server made us remember why we have enjoyed dinner at Kit Carson for so many years in the past. Thank you, George, for taking my phone call and listening to me about what was wrong with that first dinner experience of the season. Better yet, you fixed it !!! ( one little request - Can you bring back cushions on the outside seating chairs ? )
