Vagabond Inn Long Beach

To be honest, this hotel isn't that bad. I stayed here as I was going on a cruise the next day. The room was decent size, free parking, free breakfast and I felt safe as my room was on the 1st floor and it's less than 10 minutes drive to the Carnival Terminal. Their were ony 2 real negative things that I notice: When people talked outside and in the hallways you heard all the conversation and if you were on the first floor you could hear the foot steps above. It was just a place to lay the head and get some sleep. C grade overall.

This hotel is a no way ever again. Loud most of the night in the hallways, very uncomfortable bed, drug addicts and homeless men asking for food and money when we parked in the back lot, terrible parking areas, rude desk clerk, and to top it all off, after not sleeping, I fell in a large pool of oil in the morning, left from a previous car next to my car. This place needs to be condemmed.

Best deal on a room that has great location and is clean in downtown. Your minutes from the Pike. Plenty bars within walking distance. Rooms: They were clean. Not the most upscale but decent. Nearby activities: Plenty of bars, restaurants, and shipping nearby. Safety: Fairly safe. Do expect transients walking through from time to time.

Location is amazing but the rooms were not up to par. They put my disabled husband in a room on the other side of the hotel. I couldn't check in 30mins early without a $75 fee. I wouldn't recommend. Spend the $ and stay somewhere nice.
