Red Pelican Music Lessons

Ya'll - these folks rock. Brian the owner is super responsive and a genuinely friendly guy. I'm studying with Logan who is one of their drum teachers - he's knowledgeable, friendly, and he's flexible and able to meet you at whatever level you're starting at and whatever wacky schedule you might have. Also - they do zoom lessons. I was very relieved by that - they can meet you at your level of comfort and safety in these COVID-times (plus, you don't have to sit in traffic!)

Red Pelican Music Lessons is top notch! They are very communicative - I communicated with Brian via text and email to sign my son up for piano lessons. It was so easy. Our instructor, Alex Cap, is fantastic as well! He's always on time, very professional. My son is learning so much. I really can't say enough about them! I highly recommend Red Pelican if you're thinking about signing your kid up for lessons.

I found Jeff through Pelican while looking for virtual lessons, and man I lucked out - couldn't have found a better teacher! I feel like Jeff is exactly what I want in a teacher +more, he's extremely well versed in everything metal (and its roots!) and really knows how to be a good teacher, getting you to learn rapidly but also not boring you. At first I thought I was just getting some random dude but then quickly realized how lucky I got. He's even shared a stage with some of my favorite bands... Coming in to the lessons having played on and off my whole life but never having stuck to the discipline, I've now seen my self grow exponentially from these lessons, to the point where I am stunned by how much I've learned in just a month. I went from just knowing the basic chords every guitar noob knows, to Jeff telling me to play a progression in a certain key and I can quickly start jamming to it - I thought it would take several months to get to even where I am now. On top of learning theory quickly and painlessly, Jeff doesn't just teach you guitar, he teaches you the art of Music - band stuff, jam stuff, hands-on music history, everything! He's like a cool, Metal older brother I really think he goes above and beyond and my lesson is something I always look forward to every week!

My son has been taking piano lessons for years. We recently switched from another teacher to Red Pelican music and it was the best decision we made. Alex, is incredibly organized and professional. Brian, is extremely helpful. He connected me with one of his best teachers ( they all are). Checked in to see how things were going. If you’re looking for the best, I highly recommend this company.

My daughter (age 12) has been taking uke lessons with Will for about 3 months now, and we are incredibly impressed. He picks cool music to learn (and is just a cool dude in general), and my daughter is always excited for and by her lessons. She doesn't even argue with me when I tell her it's time to practice, which I count as a win. Based on our experience so far, I would highly recommend Red Pelican for music lessons.
