        Cousin Captain Reed Dominy trained here 1942 class 42-D. His P-38J was shot down over North West Germany a few mo ths after he was stationed at RAF Honington, England. POW/MIA some gave all, thank you for your service and sacrifice.

        WWII training base for training pilots. Most of the base is gone except for some foundations and pavement. Imagine how many went through their training here and never made it back from the war.
