Tam T. Te, MD

I am now dealing with terminal colon cancer that could have had a different outcome had Dr. Te not dismissed my family history (father passed away of colon cancer at the age of 60 and his mother had stage 3 colon cancer in her early 70s), my ongoing gastrointestinal complaints, and flat-out requests for a colonoscopy. Instead, when I inquired about having a colonoscopy done, even mentioning that both my sisters have started getting them at the age of 40, she simply told me that I didnt need one and to eat more fiber and take stool softeners. Six years later I was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer that had spread to my liver and lungs. Had I had a colonoscopy when I asked, which was on more than one occasion, it could have been caught in an earlier stage and I might not be dying at the age of 50.

In my 30 years of Facey Medical membership, Dr. Te is ONE of the BEST Internal Medicine doctors. Excellent communicator, organized and conscientious, empathetic, collaborative, persistent in advocating for her patients. She treats all common medical conditions, and refer other medical services for urgent care, and to a specialist. She'll focus on the general health, and care of a person combining their physical, psychological, and social needs. Within an hour, after you visit/appointment, the NOTES are charted. My young adults, in their mid 20s, are very thankful to have Dr. Te as their primary doctor. My 3 brothers in the mid 50s are also amazed with her compassionate quality of having positive intentions, and real concern for her patients for short/long term care.

A sweet lady, but would make a better hostess at a restaurant than she is as a doctor. She lets her patients down in their needs. She looks the other way and lets her unqualified nurses handle life threatening situations. I am not a complainer and am sorry if this ruins her career, but felt I must speak up.
