Wonderful little haven of respite. I prefer a fridge in the room but travel to the common area made it more of an adventure.

The inns idyllic location provided the perfect backdrop for relaxation and reflection. the true highlight of my stay was the breathtaking wildlife views from my room window. Waking up to the sight of playful seals and the soothing sound of ocean waves crashing against the shore was an experience unlike any other. The tranquility of the morning was further enhanced by the melodic chorus of birdsong. The self check-in process was seamless, allowing for a hassle-free arrival. We will be back.

Advise you stay here. A unique Hotel. Nice old house converted to rooms. No people, Pick up the red phone by the front door to get the door combination and other information. There is a movie that starts like this... but this is all good! Antique style everything.
Clean and nice. We need to go and stay a few days. Not a typical motel. Rated 5 stars only because 6 isn't an option.

My family and I stayed in the Dock Holiday - Family Suite for a week while on vacation. It was a wonderful place to stay with very enjoyable views across the old salinas river. Easy remote check-in, and assistance during the day from the friendly staff was handled well and appreciated during our stay. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms were clean and functional. We loved walking down to the beach in the morning or evening to unwind. Peaceful, with easy access to local whale watching, Elkhorn Slough Otter/Seal watching, and fishing. Our son got in some fishing while there, and the corner store had all the necessary live bait, which I wish I had realized the first day we arrived. Our only suggested improvement would be a dresser or shelves in the rooms to store clothes and items for a longer stay like we did.
We enjoyed most of the the local establishments including: Yellowgrass seafood bar and grill (delicious), Moss Landing Cafe (incredible breakfast) Sea Harvest restaurant (they know how to cook fish!), Phil's snack shop (burger and chowder was excellent), Power plant coffee and baked goods (stopped in more than one morning), and especially the Woodard Marine Market (great place for a beer/glass of wine and delicious food).
This was a great home base for us to visit Big Sur, Monterey, Santa Cruz, and surrounding towns for food, touring, shopping, and generally enjoying a fantastic Monterey bay area vacation week. We would stay again on a future visit.
