Oceanic Expeditions Whale Watch

I had never seen whales in the wild before this expedition. Mike and Mary were fantastic hosts - I felt like I was going out to see humpbacks with friends, even though they were professional and knowledgeable. The low-to-water boat allowed for great views of the amazing humpback whales and dolphins, making it a truly unforgettable experience.

Incredible experience. Ive been following them on Instagram for years. Mike and Mary were so knowledgeable and accommodating and we saw a humpback lunge feeding within 15 minutes of the tour starting. We got to see many humpback whales and one of them breached which has been on my bucket list. Will book again!

My wife and I recently had the privilege of experiencing one of the MOST AWE-INSPIRING natural spectacles the ocean has to offer. We were not merely observers; we were part of the ocean's rhythm, thanks to the expertise of Oceanic Expeditions and Captain Mike. The highlight of our journey, without a doubt, was the breathtaking encounter with Orcas. When the first dorsal fin pierced the water's surface, a moment so breathtaking, it was beyond magical!!! The professionalism, enthusiasm as well as the crews respect for these majestic creatures was second to none. An adventure to always remember! Capt Mike is the Whale Whisperer. We had whale watching action within the first 15 minutes of the tour. We were so lucky to see a humpback mother and calf. We even saw a breech. We saw seals, birds and an otter and her baby. This is the only way to whale watch in Monterey. Worth every penny. Captain Mike keeps his boat right outside the bay, so your commute time to whale watch is literally minutes. Other boat companys have to drive along the coast making the ride much longer. As soon as we came out of the marina, we were whale watching. The smaller vessel (30 ft so not small at all) allows you to quickly move to where the action is happening. The seating on the boat was super comfortable. We did not get wet. Capt. Mike was not only very nice, he was also knowledgeable. He provided us with interesting facts and tidbits. My teens amd 8 year old were completely engaged the entire trip and we all learned so much. Book now. Do not hesitate.
