Truly Honest
Absolutely horrible in every possible way. If you value your health and happiness, stay away. Its extremely overpriced, poorly managed and there isn't anything "Luxury" about it. The office manager is rude and completely incompetent, and the rest of the employees come up with ridiculous excuses for everything. I actually wonder if theyre as uneducated as they sound or do they really think the tenants are stupid enough to believe them? When you walk into the main office, theyre just sitting around chatting with each other. They never show any respect or interest and youre left feeling like youve inconvenienced them. The so-called handymen have been there for 20-30 years, but they dont have a clue what theyre doing on the simplest of jobs. They also enter your apartment without permission and then deny it. This has happened to at least 6 units that Im aware of so its no longer an honest mistake; its an invasion of privacy and should be treated as a home invasion. Work orders for repairs either get ignored or noted as complete, but nobody does anything to fix or replace it. I do my own repairs and theres always something broken. They leave broken appliances and water-heaters out in the corridors and parking lot for months, along with mops and buckets on the side of the office. The walls and floors are extremely thin so you hear everything your neighbors are doing. Im a dog person & even I can see there are too many dogs, many that bark all night long and their owners dont clean up after their pets. The ant problem is horrific theyre coming in via the electrical outlets and have laid eggs inside the walls. The rats eat the wires of your car and the trash that blows in or is dropped sits for months. Did I mention the mold around every window? They make you pay for your waste & recycling via their service, which has an added fee, but you dont get what youre paying for. The bins are overflowing and disgusting every few days; its filthy and unsightly. 200 Units, each paying $45 a month for trash and recycling means Montrachet is pocketing the difference because the City of Napa is definitely not charging $9K to pick up trash. The gardeners only look after the area around the main office, the rest of the property is badly neglected. The employees either dont care or they dont know and it shows. The entire complex is going down hill fast and the rent keeps going up. Have I mentioned the water bill that gets split equally between the units? A single person pays the same as a family of four, but if youre living there with some kind of subsidy covering a portion of your rent, you dont even see a water bill? This means regular tenants cover the subsidized units, its unacceptable. They claim they have security patrolling the property along with cameras in the mail room, but when the mail room was broken into at Christmas, and an abundance of packages was taken, no one saw anything. This has inside job written all over it. Where was security when the homeless set up camp and used a corner in the corridor as a toilet? Such Luxury, well done Montrachet! The turn-around rate is shockingly high, many hate the place so much they break their lease to get out. I believe there are 3-4 valid lawsuits pending, mainly related to poor treatment and inadequate living conditions. BTW: The positive reviews that are posted online are written by the employees, not the tenants.

Montrachet was such an amazing and home warming community! I lived there this past year, I had an apartment over looking the pool yard, such a lovely view! The office employees were amazing! So kind and understanding as it was my first apartment with my fiance and baby! The employees and manager always welcomed us with smiling faces and positivity. We would visit the office almost everyday because of how friendly everyone was! During the application portion everyone was so helpful and patient answering every question we had and addressing all concerns! The property itself is beautiful! So peaceful and clean, there was never any issues with to much garbage considering how many units there are! Trash was always picked up on the same day and the dumpsters were even taken every week for cleaning! The trash area never smelled. The plant decor was beautiful we loved walking the property with our son! We always felt safe no matter the time of day! The community is beautiful everyone is so respectful and kind! We knew all of our neighbors in our building! Everyone always said hi and asked how your day was going! We loved every moment we lived there and loved the relationships we created with the community and the employees! Highly highly recommend checking out the apartments and joining the Montrachet community!

It is a very nice place to live, very quiet, a beautiful pool and barbecue area... the only thing is that the entrances are open without security for anyone to enter.

Amenities and maintenance crew are solid, but DO NOT move here unless youre in a third-floor unit. The walls and ceilings are made of paper and its hardly an exaggeration. Theres nothing you can do about the noise of upstairs neighbors either, and youre going to be paying a LOT of money, I cant stress the a lot enough, to hear constant noise above you. Do not make your living experience stressful by living on first or second floor, hopefully this review saves you before you lock yourself in. Its bad.

Monica made this experience seamless. She communicated every step clearly and timely. She is just a joy to work with. You should be very thankful for her.
