        A bagel from Toasted is akin to a loaf from Tartine. It resets the bar of what a common item can be when an artisan goes deep do n the rabbit hole and applies an almost obsessive devotion to the craft. Its impossible to have another bagel and not compare it it Toasted. The snap, chew, and ferment are zeroed in and unmatched. THE bagel!!!

        We found Toasted at the San Rafael Farmers Market and they are now my kids favorite bagels (and the only ones theyll eat). They love having (and asking for) toasted Toasted bagels with Toasted cream cheese. I love Toasted for the monthly special cream cheese (partial to the pepper variations). Wish they had a shop in Marin. Highly recommend!!
