I recently quit the CR Step Study due to the leadership and approach by the Associate Pastor, Juan Palomino. When I kindly expressed to Juan that I felt he was leading this group in a cult-like, controlling manner, he responded to me in a prideful and insincere way by saying, Thank you, God bless you bro. In addition, below are some examples of how Juan mistreated me and others. Thank you for letting me share! NOTE: This review is directed towards the CR Ministry under Juan, not the Church. When I arrived 15 minutes late to volunteer for the CR setup, Juan publicly humiliated me by announcing in front of everyone, Better late than never. During the 1 year CR Anniversary, Juan put his hand on my wifes shoulder and greeted her, which made us feel very uncomfortable since my wife is not personal friends with him. During the Step Study, Juan inappropriately smacked Carlos book with his pen and said to him, Pay attention! During the Step Study, Juan proudly and arrogantly stated that he didnt need to participate in the CR homework because he had previously completed the course several times. It made feel very uncomfortable that he was listening to our personal struggles and stories, and not expressing his. During the Step Study, Juan strictly mandated that we read only what we wrote down in our homework - as opposed to allowing us to share something else in our broken hearts.

I have been attending NPFCC for about 4 years now. The applicable sermons, the worship music and the friendly people are all a few of the many reasons why we chose to attend & get involved at NPFCC. We visited many other churches in the area before landing here. We love being apart of a church that is helping others to find & follow Jesus.  NPFCC is a family of loving people who love to serve & help others. I especially like the ways that they reach out to the community in so many ways. Come & find a wonderful church family that you too can be apart of.
