We moved into our new home less than a year ago in beautiful Rosedale Azusa. We spent ALOT of money on our Christopher Home - too bad we couldn't get internet service for the first two months. I had to drive my kids to the Target parking lot nearby in order to hook up to wifi so they could complete their homework assignments. I had to make a ridiculous amount of phone calls to different internet providers and be told time and again that our area was not serviceable. Is internet service not a relatively basic commodity these days, especially in a newer neighborhood ?? We spent a good penny on tile floors in the downstairs, bathrooms, and laundry - but we were never given the option ahead of time to have the floors sealed. I did not realize beforehand how much of a difference this can make in keeping the tile and especially the grout clean. We had them sealed afterward but it really should have been done before moving into the house. We made a cross country move here and as anyone with or without kids can imagine, it was not a simple process. It can be a lot of fun choosing design and materials for a new home, even from a distance, but our designer was a 'blank' on wheels. She made us feel like she was doing us a huge favor helping us to select materials and options for a new home. For any amount of business, I think courtesy should be included in the price but, at Andrew Lauren Interiors, it most definitely was not. And by the way, if you are moving out to So Cal and intending on bringing your electric dryer with you - consider this: Electricity is expensive here so much so that you will probably want to invest in a gas dryer. If you don't want to do that, then you may likely have to pay and electrician to create and electrical hook up in your laundry room in order to spend a lot of money to dry your laundry with an electric dryer. I wish we had been made well aware of this ahead of time. In short, while we are living in a beautiful home in a beautiful neighborhood, a little fine tuning in the overall experience of building this home would have been greatly appreciated.
