One of the best preschools in North Hollywood. If you are looking for a school with caring, compassionate, and intelligent teachers, then I highly recommend you check out Great Beginnings. They are very reasonably priced for a preschool and Lana is amazing. Definitely check them out if you are looking for a great place to send your kids that you can trust.

I am an adult now but I attended this school in 2010-2011 and I have trauma from my experiences. Back then, the workers would pinch kids who cried, to give them a reason to cry. That has never happened to me at other schools and I would not tolerate that happening to my future kids. I also remember an older lady yanking my hair frequently and causing me to have headaches, even when I did nothing at all. I was a quiet and good girl, but these 2 older ladies were constantly picking at me. And when I told my parents what happened, the older ladies denied everything and then I was not allowed to playtime with the other kids that day. This happened to other kids as well, the workers were bitter. I hope its much better now. Giving it a 3 stars because I dont know what its like now, and those workers are probably gone.

Great Beginnings is a true gem, and we are blessed to have found it. Two of our children have attended Great Beginnings since 2017. Our eldest recently graduated from preschool here and was well-prepared for kindergarten.
I visited about 15 different daycares and preschools around the time I discovered Great Beginnings. I found Great Beginnings to be one of the only preschools that both caters to working parents and is priced reasonably. Great Beginnings conveniently offers morning snacks, a nutritious hot lunch program, and afternoon snacks. The extended hours are especially helpful, as many other preschools close by late afternoon. I also highly appreciate the transparency and open communication we have experienced at Great Beginnings. I get regular updates about how my children are doing and what they're learning at school so I can implement the same things at home. Most importantly, we could not be happier with the teachers and the warm nurture and care our children experience here.
Our children adore all of the Great Beginnings teachers. Mrs. Lana is a wonderful director and has always been proactive in addressing our children's needs and maintaining the safety and cleanliness of the facility. Mrs. Martina is an excellent teacher and leader - she left me with a lasting first impression of the preschool when I visited. She adds tremendous value to Great Beginnings, and it wouldn't be the same without her! She's confident and loving, yet stern enough to earn respect and guide the children. All of the other teachers are just as amazing - Ms. Fabi, Ms. Maria, Ms. Kathy, Ms. Angie, and Ms. Angelica, to name a few.
Every single one of the teachers has a great attitude, communicates well, and shows a sincere interest in our kids' learning and development. All of the teachers pour their hearts into caring for the children, helping them to gain independence, build confidence, and develop social skills. Great Beginnings keeps the kids busy with tons of activities, academics, and play time. Our kids look forward to going to Great Beginnings, and some days they aren't ready to leave at pick-up! It has been especially rewarding to watch our children develop friendships with the other children, and we have enjoyed getting to know the other parents of the Great Beginnings community.
Overall, we have been extremely satisfied with our experience at Great Beginnings thus far. I have recommended this school to my friends with kids, and I continue to highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful preschool for their children.
