Briarwood Pre-School & Kindergarten

My daughter attended Briarwoood preschool for close to 9 months and loved it. The teachers are extremely caring, and the administration has been very welcoming to us. My daughter was able to participate in a yoga class and music class on a regular basis. Students are also able to participate in My Gym program for a smaller fee. My daughter's teacher, Miss Ingrid, was amazing as well! Kids usually engage in different crafts and projects, which they are able to take home with them at the end of the week. They get to see and learn about different animals (another program that the preschool participates in). I very highly recommend this preschool. Not related, but I really think that it would make the look and feel of  the school the little better, is that they need to update their furniture and paint some of the areas inside the school. It's looks a bit it worn out and needs some care. However, don't let the look of the school to dissuade you from sending your child there. Amazing program and caring teachers!

Amazing preschool!  Great teaches and engaged owners. Kids are all so happy each day to go and learn.

This school is fantastic . It has the perfect dream like preschool feel. Great indoor and outdoor play areas. Kind teachers and owners. Great children. My daughter ADORES this school . I know that when the time is done for this school it will be hard to get her to leave . She is safe, she is loved and she is happy here !!

Briarwood was a great and lucky find for us as parents in Valley Village.  While my son had not really come out of his shell much at his first pre-school, many of our newfound crew here joke that Tommy is the "mayor of Briarwood."  He always has a smile on his face at pickup.  He can always tell us about 2-4 discrete fun activities that happened at school each day.  He *loves* when they have "Captain Al" come over, or do "MyGym" days at school (small extra fee, but totally worth it).  He really liked his classroom teacher, Ms. Chrissie.  I should note that many of the other teachers and owners, such as (but not limited to) Ms. Vicki, Ms. Michelle, Ms. Renny, Ms. Shelly etc are also really warm-hearted and caring individuals with each kid's best interests at heart.  Coronavirus shut this school down (and all others) for the spring and Tommy asks about it often, wishing he could go back and see his nurturing teachers and awesome little friends.  But we do have some pretty great memories (and long-term family friendships!) from the year that we did spend enrolled here.  We're hopeful that coronavirus eventually is contained to the point of full reopening, as Briarwood presents an economically reasonable, and very educational/fun environment for pre-schoolers; we are lucky to have been involved!
