Very bad experience!  I was a patient for years.  He was always about the money and sleazy.  Did damage to my bite, then excused me from his practice.  he also did damage to one of my neighbors.  In my opinion too old and do the work.  Also, very greedy and dishonest!  Steer Clear!

I've been going to Dr. Arlen Lackey for years. I'm such a coward when it comes to pain, but Dr. L always listens to my concerns and best of all, he is virtually pain-free. If you need extensive work, Dr. L has you come in for a conference where he presents you with a detailed treatment plan in writing. He makes sure you know ahead of time what everything will cost so you can decide whether or not you want to proceed.  Another review here from a patient said he received a bill in the mail that he wasn't expecting, but because you're informed ahead of time what a procedure will cost, I can't believe that's true. The office staff is wonderful and caring. I used to dread going to a dentist, but I actually look forward to seeing Dr. L and his staff for my regular checkups.

Very bad experience. Start to finish.  Dishonest dentist. Told me I needed $6000 in dental work. Allowed him to do some fillings for me. Ended up having pain that lasted for over 2 years and I still have sensitivity to hot and cold.  He lets his assistant drill your teeth not sure how that is legal. I Kept hoping the pain would go away.  Called him to discuss my situation, left messages none were returned.  Not to mention he makes rude and racist comments.  Not sure what that is all about. I was referred by a friend but I guess if you are any kind of minority you better just hope for the best.  I went to another dentist after all of this who told me I had no dental issues!! Complete scam artist.

I'm a new patient in Dr. Lackey's practice, and after having several procedures there I think he and his staff are first rate. He is highly skilled in the science of dentistry, which you might expect for a professional who's been in one place for a very long time. But he's also good at the art of dentistry, which to my mind sets him apart. He can diagnose and fix problems as well (or better) than the typical skilled dentist. But the way he accomplishes this- with a focus on comfort, keeping you informed, making recommendations that serve your interests and not just his own- sets him far ahead of the competition.And his staff? Ask yourself: when was the last time a scheduler called you and said, "can you push your appointment back 30 minutes? Dr. Lackey is running a little late." Usually, you show up and you do the waiting in the office. Not here. Very much appreciated. He's one of the very best dentists I've ever had.
