If you want a nice vacation pick a different place. From the very beginning, Villa La Estancia proved to be a terrible choice. When we were signing for the rooms, we asked them about a temporary charge they would put on our card and the man taking care of our paperwork had the gall to say, "it is easy to follow instructions and sign and the paperwork." We had a question about a charge and that was really rude. It steadily got worse from there. They charge $9 for a bottle of water at their restaurants and if they mess up your order you better be ready for the back talk and lying. We can read when something is and isn't on the menu. That being said their food is catered to a clientele that doesn't want to eat legitimate Mexican food. Which is sad considering you're in Mexico. If you want food, eat outside of this place. Way more bang for your buck. Speaking of the town, want to go into town to eat instead? The "head of security" would pester us daily about three things: our use of Uber, their ability to match any time share offers, and how we have to use their taxis. Every time we went out it was the same three things. This bad review is such a shame considering the Villa was nice and the view was excellent. This could have been a good review, but the attitude this place has about squeezing everything they can from their customers really put a bad taste in my mouth. I'm contemplating asking Costco for a refund that's how upset I am about this experience with them.
