We were in a mood for sushi, so we went to Mikado at 545pm before an event. They were closed, although it shows open on Google.

Live here year round. Ill be fair here. Tables are in rooms with minimal vibe. Closed off, not warm feel. Dentist office vibe, youll know it when you are there. Minute we all sat down, drink order taken, 10 minutes in after sitting, dinner order taken by a motivated waitress to keep the diner moving. Chef and his skills were cool, lasted maybe 30 min. Dessert then came. The Bill came. Then Adios see ya next time pat on back. Felt rushed the whole time. For a meal that pricey its not ideal to feel rushed. Steak/chicken/fish came out on a cafeteria cart and cafeteria trays.. Plain unseasoned chicken breast/filet/shrimp that a person can do at home. Chef grills them, a tad seasoning and soy, but very pedestrian. I can do it at home and save a grand. Id love to say it was an experience, but it was not. I was under whelmed. In this desert, with insane joints that try so hard, this place wouldnt survive out here if wasnt attached to the Marriott. I can name 100 places out here in desert one can spend $100 a person for a much much better experience. This was a mere hotel experience. Very Lackluster. Expected so much more. No soup for you !!!!
