Had a horrible experience with carmax, had my credit ran and ordered a car from Oxnard and had it delivered to Palm desert only for them to run my credit a second time once the vehicle arrived.They made it very difficult to proceed with purchase after providing paystubs, bank statements, and last years w2s only for them to keep asking for more documents that should not be required, only for them to give me the run around and tell me they need to run my credit a 3RD TIME!! I have never heard of this and will definitely never be purchasing from carmax

We had an unfortunate experience today at CarMax. We had an appointment to test drive a car that we had shipped to the store and planned to trade in our current car. On test drive there was a loud noise in the drivers side wheel base- I requested it be looked at but unfortunately there are no technicians on the weekend to look over the cars before purchase- best case they would provide us with a loaner to drive home with today while it was looked at next week. Three hours into the process of working with a new and inexperienced employee we asked for additional assistance as he was continuing to demonstrate his lack of knowledge. We lost confidence when he was unsure about validating our loan documents. When I approached the manager, she was hostile and said he was doing the best he could and she didnt have anyone that could assist him. She continued to give the excuse that they are short staffed. She then claimed I had been unhappy since the moment I walked through the door because the car was making a noise. We were understanding of the new employee but became concerned that our $30k transaction was not going to be managed appropriately. We are most disappointed with the managers disregard for our concern and hostile attitude. We are sad to miss out on the car we had hoped to drive home today because of such poor customer service.

Deal done according to Carmax finance. Last minute salesman came up with an issue, that should have been spotted long before it came time to sign contracts. Did business with Carmax about 10 years ago, and no issues. Now? I wouldn't buy a car from Carmax for $10. You can't trust this company.

Went with my son to look at a vehicle, waited almost 2 hours for a test drive, only to be told it was too late and they couldn't do it. That I had to come back another day. I thought they were trying to sell cars. I guess not. I drove straight to I-10 Toyota and purchased that same day! Definitely do NOT recommend! Don't waste your time.

David was amazing. There was a technical problem with my appraisal and he got everything sorted out quickly. We left with the exact amount from our online quote. Ill sell cars with Carmax every time now!
