We worked with Art Hoffstrom Builders for a major remodeling project, involving re-doing the exterior walls, a new roof, extensive drainage and concrete work, paint and other details.The trades and subs he brought to the project did a fantastic work: plumbers, electrical, painters, concrete, stucco, etc., all but two: the roof sub and some interior work on our previously damaged living room wood floor. The roof is good, but the company that did the roof was unpleasant and we had to call on bad details (like nails showing and such). Their business manners were not at all up to the high standards of the rest of the subs.Art's secretary, Melissa, was very helpful and stayed in touch permanently, and helped going through some glitches, unavoidable during construction work. She kept a keen and attentive eye on things, and was patient and understanding. You have to keep an eye, so things stay in budget, and be very clear about what you want. The time of the remodeling extended beyond the given timeline, for different reasons. The work done looks and feels solid, and problems we had with the house are no more there, so Art delivered.

We chose Art Hoffstrom Builders for a number of reasons when renovating our home in RPV, and will choose to work with Art again on subsequent projects for many more reasons.  Art guided us through the planning and design of our renovations, and his experience in this arena and design sensibilities were of huge benefit to us; in addition to telling us how to get the job done, he was able to really help us figure out exactly what we really wanted, and his suggestions and input were invaluable.  During the process, we had some budget constraints that Art and team were able to work within and do so creatively, which really stretched our dollar and provided a great return. When it came to navigating the city permitting process, we had no issues thanks to Art's familiarity with the requirements, procedures, and inspectors.  Of course, the inspections were smooth in part also because the work was top notch; the contractors that were on the job, including the electricians, painters, carpenters, tile, cabinets, appliance installers, plumbers, and more, were capable, conscientious, and courteous.  But on the few occasions where something wasn't right, Art was there, until it was corrected, and really did have our satisfaction as a top priority.  Was our renovation perfect?  No, there are bumps in every road.  But I am certain we could not have chosen a better partner than Art, and will work with he and his team again.

Art Hoffstrom did an amazing job at my Rancho Palos Verdes home! I've put off remodelling for many years and am sooo glad I finally bit the bullet and hired Art to do this for me! He remodeled our outside living area, kitchen and all bathrooms, the result was BEYOND GORGEOUS! All friends and family rave about how wonderful my home looks. Thank you for a an exceptional experience! I look forward to doing more work with you in the future!

Art took really good care of me, Made the process look real easy when it is not. The plans were done by a home owner who thought all you had to do was lay out what he wanted too do. There is a problem with that when they don't meet the local, city and state codes. I highly recommend his service. He has been doing this since dirt was born.
